I bought this as my first powermeter about 10 months ago, and haven't had a single issue with it (apart from sometimes the 4iiii app having ,trouble connecting with the device, but this may be due to the phone or some other factors). I've done about 3500 km both indoors and outdoors on it and the battery is still strong (the app says 84%). Great piece for a good price!

Purchased this for my Ultegra setup but don't care about the name on the crank and cheaper and easier to find a 105 part. Same Hallowtech II crank attachment. Once installed, setup wasn't hard, but need to keep pedals moving so it doesn't go to sleep. I guess this may be good for battery life where my stages seem to stay awake for a while after movement. Otherwise, the app is good, and connecting, updating and zeroing was easy enough, once you know to keep them awake by moving.. Results are good and seem correct compared to me Stages PM on previous bike.

Seems to work very well. On my Garmin Edge 530 sometimes it takes a minute or two to connect to the sensor but after that the connection is solid. having ,initially got quite a difference in power readings compared to my smart trainer I did a firmware update ,and it seemed to help, making the figures more in line. The 4iiii app has terrible reviews with people saying it bricked their device but these are a few years old and I had no problems. It is a bit annoying having ,to put all your information in to make an account but as the firmware update ,actually made the power meter better, I didn't mind.

Very good product. At my first use I was not so happy because it gave big variations in a 3 sec time period. After a firmware upgrade, it is solved in a good way. The better is to buy power meter in pedals but the price is too high. 4iiii is a very good product and a value for money. Suggested

Hello, I have some Ultegra R8000 53x39 chainrings. I would like to know if this connecting rod is compatible, because the hollowtech thing confuses me. I would also like to know if it goes with a button battery and if I have to register in 4iii to pair it with my garmin Edge 520 thanks in advance

Can be used for cranks. Button battery specification. However, I have never replaced it because it is 800 hours. Garmin picks up the pairing on its own. You have to register for the 4iiii app. That´s it, it´s easy.

Of course, the R8000´s 175mm is the best. If you don´t mind, R7000´s 175mm is fine. For the time being, a Q factor of 14.6 is perfect.

According to Google....... Shimano lists the FD-R7000 front derailleur as compatible with the FC-5800 crankset in their products compatibility information, but the R7000 crankset wont be compatible with the old derailleur.

4iiii claim that it has an 800 hour battery life. Haven´t yet ridden for that long since buying this power meter, so can´t promise that. But it does make sense that it will be an improvement over the previous version.
