The C17 Carved is made from the same vulcanized natural rubber and organic cotton canvas as use for the C17, with an added cutout section to the top, which alleviates pressure in the perineal region experienced by some long distance cyclists, supporting comfort on longer rides. The additional flexibility absorbs bumps and vibrations from the road, functioning much in the way of a shock absorbing seat post.

Best Saddle for Ultra/Long Distance cycling

The C17s are the best saddles you can find for long-distance cycling. They offer a springy feel that will keep you comfortable riding a gravel or rigid bike. Their sizing is a bit odd, 169 looks large, but in reality, you sit in the middle of it, making it as wide as common 145s. Brooks says that the all-weathers do not need any time do bed, but it took me about 2-3 weeks to get used to it and 2 different adjustments by my bike fitter, but now they are just marvelous.

Have been using c17 Alll weather for 2 years now, it is good it is really good, but in some long trips it seems too stiff for me, but carved version changed everything. Now i feel much better during my bike adventures

Perfect. I am an experienced cyclist in touring, MTB and now gravel. After trying many others, I settled on Brooks Cambium encouraged by the feedback. The only thing I can review as negative is that it is a heavy saddle. Everything else perfect. Tested on a short ride of about 30km just to adjust height, distance and incline, all I can say is I've never had one this comfortable. You forget about the saddle and that is saying a lot. I hope to confirm this first impression on longer routes.

I received the C17 saddle and already did a 200k turn to do the test and for me to adapt to the saddle. I really liked it, it meets the needs for those who like to make long pedals, the lures support perfectly on the saddle. Excellent, firm, absorbs bumps very well. Its width provides a dimension that gives correct support. I had a Brooks B17 and it was very good, but it does not fit with a modern bike. Instead the C17 will look perfectly fine on any modern bicycle.

Received the order in a Wednesday and started the Saint James Way the day after. I know that looks crazy but since I have a Brooks B17 in my commuter bike I thought that there will be no problem and I was right, I rolled for three day more than 8 hours a day without any problem. I highly recommend this saddle.
