A Good Light.

This is a good light for the darker city roads. Just a bit more power than the 300. Makes a nice additional helmet light also if out in the countryside.

I already had CatEye volt 800, it has been serving for three seasons, and suddenly broken. it was not possible to charge, charge port was not stable, however battery is alive. I tried to fix the headlight in workshops, but nobody takes it. Technician said that led lamps are meant for working only few thousand hours, but think here was not a LED issue but charge port issue. I contacted CatEye, they sad, that Volt 800 was constructed without possibility to open and fix it somehow. Since a spare battery and mounting part are left I decided to go for a bit lighter version Volt 400. So far, so good. If yuo are searching for your first light, that you can definitely to take Volt 400, works well, easily mounted, stable on the bar, bright enough to be seen.

I bought 2 as replacements for my Volt 300's. They were great and had years of regular usage. The 400's are brighter and if they last as long as the 300's I will be very happy. Great spread of light. I use 2 as they give a view similar to car lights
