The Crankbrothers Mallet E clip-in shoe excels for enduro races or all-day adventures. Featuring a carbon-injected nylon shank, the Mallet E shoe offers pedaling efficiency without compromising on shoe-to-pedal interface. Our innovative Match System optimizes engagement for any MTB clip-in system, whether that’s Crankbrothers or SPD. It comes with Match shim and Crankbrothers cleat pre-installed in a neutral position so they are ready to ride with Crankbrothers pedals right out of the box.
Features:
Closure System:
- Speed Lace closure system offers fast adjustment, a strap for secure closure and a pocket to safely tuck laces.
Match Box:
- The ramped Match cleat box offers easy front and rear pedal entry and mud shedding. An extra stiff carbon-injected nylon shank transfers power efficiently when climbing or sprinting.
Match Compound:
- Our mid-friction rubber compound (MC1) allows for easy pedal entry and exit and is hard enough to hold up to wear and tear. The radial lug pattern around the cleat box is designed to provide smooth release from the pedal body.
Match Outsole:
- The tread pattern is designed for traction off the bike. Directionally angled and spaced toe and heel lugs offer traction for hiking up or down steep terrain. The ramped toe provides walkability on steep terrain.

Perfect shoes! with amazing crankbrothers clip system, that works for enduro pedals up to xc or on road bikes, with eggbeaters! We use the crankbrothers system on all bikes: from enduro, e-bike, trail, xc, gravel and road! Different pedals but identical and very comfortable system, easy to put on even in case of mud! I already use Mallet shoes with normal laces, which are perfect and very comfortable, unfortunately I have not found the boas in my size anymore!

I wanted to make a Crank Brothers shoe and pedal pair, now I only have shoes, tested on a candy pedal with gravel, excellent fit, having a wide foot I immediately found myself at ease. instead with candy pedal the shoe tends to tilt. But for me it's not a problem because I will only use the shoe on Mtb with Mallet Trail pedal.

Very good materials and quality. I recommend it, yes, I needed to buy a size larger than a normal shoe since it does not tend to soften. On the contrary, it is a bit rigid to be able to transmit power.

This is my attempt to switch to wearing and riding Shimano SPD pedals and shoes. I was BLOWN away with the fit, comfort and convenience of the BOA system. I got a crankbrothers Mallet E pedals thats why i decided to get this shoe and im so glad i did!

Super shoe used for 1 month and 200km they are really comfortable. The BOA tightening and to the millimeter for the maintenance of the foot does not crush the foot, the water does not penetrate when you pass in the small streams. Used with crankbrother couple 3 pedals the clip is easy to attach and clip in the event of a fall. Walking on stony areas is quite easy, just lacks a bit of grip and sole flexibility for walking. I recommend transfers for anyone new to confirming with their eyes closed.

Good. The most important thing is to know what type of pedal you have on the bike, that will determine the type of cleats you need for this boot. These shoes come with the crank brothers but you can put any cleat as it is a universal mtb 2-bolt system. the most popular are shimano, crankBrothers, lock, atac and speedplay...
