Hello! Yes, it accepts J band spokes. If you are going to use rims from the same brand, you must go to the DT Swiss website to register and see the size of the spokes to fit this hub. It has 2.0 and 1.8 spokes. If it´s any rim, you don´t need to go to the website, just install it on the bike. I think yours to understand! Hug

What system uses ratchet or rachet? How many holes does it have in 28 or 32?

The system is cassette. Ratchet is an old system that is no longer used today. Regarding the number of holes, there is the option of 28 or 32 holes.

The hub has 28 holes and is compatible with Shimano´s 12v series (Deore M6100, SLX M7100, XT M8100 and XTR M9100).

Hi, yes it´s 28 hole and yes it fits XT 12 speed (just needed different spoke length to the Shimano hub originally in the wheel.)
