I would like to point out that the product arrived on time and in excellent condition. I wanted to make an attempt to mount it on the 10-speed Shimano GRX 400. once mounted I was unable to make the fine adjustment, I thought that probably if I had used a Shimano product it would have worked. So I later purchased the Deore shimano 11-42 and now it works great.

Hello, in theory if your Shimano derailleur leg is size GS yes you can put an 11-40 but you would have to change the chain so that you can put it longer and you will also have to give more tension to the derailleur with its upper tension screw
