Lightweight, durable, and well supported, these mountain biking shoes will allow you to put all your pedals to the metal and ride your bike safely through any terrain.
Five-Ten’s ubiquitous Stealth® C4 outsole receives a special upgrade on the 5.10 Kestrel Lace with the addition of a clipless pedal attachment that will give your foot more support and allow you to put more speed into the chain. On top of that, a nylon shank gives the sole unit more rigidity for effective energy transmission. The Dotty pattern on the sole continues to provide all the traction you expect on different types of terrain, while a lightweight, springy EVA midsole will soften and cushion your routine.
Made in a water-resistant synthetic mesh, the 5.10 Kestrel Lace’s upper gives you excellent instep support with a lace and hook-and-loop closure. For durability and rigidity in critical areas, these shoes’ frame also includes synthetic toe cap and heel reinforcements, while a series of micro-perforations throughout the shoe increase breathability.

These are a great shoe (my second pair). They would be a 5* if the front where the strap sits was 3-5 mm lower, as if you have really flexible ankles like me, it sometimes cuts in when riding downhill with dropped heels.

I purchased a “backup” of this shoes as who knows how long they last. I have size 12 pedalers that are considered narrow. These are good 0C to 35+C for me. The extra ser purchased from this site were 12.5 for big sock room. They run fairly true to size only you have wide feet. I prefer lace over BOA. In CDN & was much cheaper than local/country mark/rip ups.

I doubt there is a better all-round MTB shoe on the market. Comfortable, super-durable, unmatched grippyness on flats, excellent cleat integration for clipless, and a really stiff sole that puts the power to the pedals!

I´ve been looking for waterproof SPD shoes for warm weather. Almost all waterproof clipless shoes are for winter, and these are a pleasant exception. Great protection in rain, against splashes and puddles - your feet will stay dry. And they look no different from the casual sneakers, so they are also good for commuting. They are not very comfortable though, and the sizing is terribly wrong for my 277 cm feet. UK 9.5 - too small, UK 10 - too roomy. Went for the latter option plus additional insole. They are also too high in the ankles, and it hurts. Stiffness is medium to high - stiffer than Shimano MT-43, softer than NW Raptor Arctic GTX. The sole is very grippy, much unlike NW´s "Bamby on ice" feeling.

Received item in good condition. Took a bit longer as usual maybe due to the stricken custom check. Happy to got it and try in on. On spot for the size and luv the firmness of the shoe. This has been my 2nd pair of the same shoe and totally loving it.

Hello, I wanted to know if they come with a full sole. I have an ebike with platform pedals (for general use) and sometimes I go out with a lunge with spd cleats. And I don´t mind setting up the cleats for a multi-day outing with this one. In general, I know that the shoes come with a "lid" that completes the sole if the cleats are not put on. Is this the case? Thank you.

It does not have a cover, there is a hole for the cleats, but since it is in a hole it is as if you were wearing a normal shoe.

Very comfortable. Rigid, although the appearance is flexible sports, it is rigid enough to exert force on the pedal. To find out what size to order, measure your foot in cm and order the corresponding EU size according to the size chart at the bottom of each product page, under the product description.

EU 48 would be your European size and for this model I would opt for EU 48.5 if you like them slightly tight or EU49 if you prefer them looser.

from my experience its true - what ever is the European equivalent you should indeed add size. So US 13 corresponds to EU 48 and then go up a size.
