Zipp 303 Firecrest CL Disc Tubeless road rear wheel

Lightness in its purest form !!

Delivery in 2 weeks due to lack of supply I think. Top packaging for carbon wheels! I was eager and curious to fit carbon wheels for tubeless only hookless for the first time because there is everything on the net regarding tubeless wheels. Well you know what: in less than 30 min I had mounted my 2 Zipp 303 Firecrest wheels with Sealant liquid injection (Tufo) and each inflated! It must be said that the wheels arrived with the Zipp rim tape and sealed valve already installed :-) Why 4 and not 5 stars on these hyper promising wheels is because of the loss of speed and stability observed compared to my DTS. I gained 500g compared to my DTS !! But in high winds (> 25kmh) the front wheel tends to chase more easily, so not great in terms of safety, and for the flat or downhill, despite a profile of 40 mm versus 35 mm for my DTS, their lightness does not give not speed or kinetics. Loss of around 5 to 7%. On the other hand, uphill, they are much more pleasant and responsive. Hubs level is great and a very nice sound for those who are fans of beautiful mechanics :) I recommend them for those who are not looking for a flat stopwatch but great comfort and a nice surprise on the hill.

Yes, without hooks. It is necessary to install tires that work without hooks, like conti gp5000 str

Yes, the rims are hookless. Therefore, not all tires may fit. you need to check compatibility on the manufacturer´s website.

Yes. It is hookless. The only problem I faced with this wheels was poor waterproof. After only 1500 km mostly in sunny Spain inner springs got rotten and two bearings broke down. Purchasing new springs was not do easy. There were two versions of these wheels. I had to buy some aftermarket parts to fix them. I am about to ride those wheels in snowy winter. We will see if they cope.

Hello! It is SRAM XDR Hub (see description), 25 mm inner width and 24 spokes. Spoke type, it is placed where the spoke has contact with the hub. All Zipp wheels have J-Band type of spokes.
