The IST ProEar Mask is manufactured to the highest standard and only the best materials are used. It is designed to counter the most of the unavoidable effects pressure and water have on the ears so you can have more enjoyment bottom time.
Features:
- Optical Lenses(ME80 & ME55 only): Prescription lenses are available in diopters from -1.0 to -8.0 in -0.5 decrement.
- Skirt: Made from the best grade of crystal clear, hypoallergenic silicone, the skirt is soft and automatically conforms to a wide range of facial profiles.
- Silicone strap: Mounted on swivel buckles, the strap with its large contact surface secures the mask to the wearer.
- Ear covers: The soft silicone Ear Covers forms a water tight seal between the ear drum and the cover. The pressure buffer created to have the same pressure as your nasal cavity mask when air exhaled through the nose is introduced through the Equalization Tubes. Therefore the ear pressure in the middle and outer area is the same and the ?squeeze? from the ambient will be significantly reduced. Other benefits from keeping the ears sealed also include reducing the chance of an ear infection from water, plus improved sense of direction and warmth retention.
- Equalizing tubes: With one-way valve placed inside each tube, air is allowed to travel only from the mask to the ear covers for pressure equalization and water clearance while stopping water from flooding the mask in the unlikely event of flooded Ear Covers.

Doesn't work at all

Because of an ear canal infection, I decided to get this mask at short notice and tested it twice. Although I followed the instructions and the many recommendations, the mask unfortunately doesn't work for me at all. The ear cups are constantly filling up and, to my great regret, it doesn't serve its purpose.

Previously no problems, but since a diving holiday on the Red Sea I have regularly had ear infections during diving holidays despite diving drops etc. Since I have been using this type of mask, I have never had a problem again, and have done so for over 15 years. This mask in particular makes a very high-quality impression. Pressure equalization and blowing out the mask and ear cups works perfectly. Design is also convincing, I used to build and had complete blacks.

Have used this type of mask five years with ruptured ear drum in one of my ear! Worked perfect and never failed within hundreds of spearfishing times. I put a vented earplug in my damaged ear as well, but even without it can work as well, just to be sure to put the mask properly. Bought this new one becouse of losing the five year old mask which was performing still very good and make me feel confident up to 15 m deeps into the sea. Just have to use a coupple of times and you start understand advantages of it for keeping your ear dry and equalization as well. Writing this after my 5 years experience using it I can strongly recommand it! Thanks who invented it!

I have had to wait 20 years to be able to go back to the sea to dive. It's a pity not to know before about this type of glasses for those of us who have hearing problems. I recommend it

An excellent snorkeling mask, can be used for shallow dives (15-18 meters) as ear equalization is needed anyway for deeper dives and coming back problems are easily to appear (reverse block). But for shallow dives is good and the delivery time was perfect.

I bought these glasses as a last option to be able to dive, since the ENT told me that I had an ematoma on the eardrum because I did not start well. I have tried them this weekend and they are a treasure. They meet all expectations. No earache and easily compensated. I'm delighted. I recommend them to everyone.

Excellent diving mask to protect fragile ears. It changes lives for people who can't put their heads underwater. I recommend 100% Beware of bearded men, waterproofing works less well with a beard.

The only option is to dive for people with sore ears. You will have to cut the hair around your ears briefly so that water does not leak. The mask is hard to hear the surrounding sounds.

I ordered these glasses for a few weeks in the hope of saving my vacation in Indonesia. A perforated eardrum accumulated a few weeks before departure, but with these glasses no problem for diving! The ear muffs keep the water out without a problem, it is even very comfortable not to get any water in the ears, even if my eardrum is restored, I am sure that I will continue to use these glasses. It causes less direct pressure on the eardrum which makes diving very pleasant. But it does not mean that clearing is no longer necessary! I hesitated for a long time to order these glasses because I thought it might not work because I have long hair, and if my hair were stuck between earplugs, water would run in, but that's not the case, because of the pressure holds the ear cups firmly around the ears. It sometimes makes crazy noises, but you get used to it, especially if it means that you can dive without problems! Definitely recommended for people with a (temporary) torn eardrum or for people with sensitive ears!

The desinfectant on my pool exercises attacked my ears inner chanel skin. It's painfull. Good all round, pool or open water, one of the strangest masks i've seen but it really works, With a little practice, even mask removal exercice can be done. Fits perfectly on my large face, small volume of air and the ear protection fits big or smaller ears. If you have ears problems or spend a lot of time in skin hostile water (pool, or salted) it will help a lot!

Good afternoon, do you know if with this equipment I can dive even if I have eardrum problems??? A year ago my eardrum was punctured, and I don´t know if I can dive with this scope without suffering damage. If I have a perforated eardrum, will I be able to dive with this equipment??? Greetings

Hello I am not Otorhino, but for me even with this type of mask, it is not possible to dive with a perforated eardrum, on the other hand, after a repair of the eardrum, natural or surgical, this mask is very protective, but I repeat, as long as the eardrum is open, the impossibility of diving is absolute. With this mask you can equalize in the same way as with normal ones. I you put in on properly airtight the cups on around your ear, there will be no water (or minimal) in your ear during the diving. I use this mask for more than 15 years and also for deeper dives (max.40), and because of bacterial infections. Over time, I learned that washing your ears with clean water after each dive is also very useful. Regarding the eardrum problems, I have no idea.

Hello, I don´t think so but you should try to descend slowly with this mask and stop if it hurts.... For me who has decompression problems the mask had no effect...

Hello! I also have a perforated eardrum and this summer I tried it. I put on my usual earplugs and then the glasses with earmuffs on top... And no water got in but I think it´s a hassle because of my hair, if you wear it long it´s annoying... But my partner put it on and it was great, They look great. I only submerged 1 meter. I hope it helps you
