I have had the opportunity to test the new Puma Ultra 5 Ultimate FG on natural grass in my last two 3rd REF matches, along with some on artificial grass during training, and I can confirm that Puma continues to demonstrate its excellence with the Ultra line.

• Ideal terrain: This boot is suitable for all types of terrain (artificial grass and firm or dry natural ground).
• Performance on artificial grass: Surprisingly good, especially on the latest generation surfaces. In all my tests, the grip has been excellent and I have had no problems with slipping.

INTERIOR AND TEMPLATE

• Cushioning: The heel provides a firm and comfortable fit, reducing friction and preventing blisters.

• NanoGrip insole: Removable and designed to keep the foot in place, even when there is moisture due to perspiration. For those who, like me, sweat a lot, this detail makes all the difference, as it prevents internal slippage between the sock and the boot.

ABROAD

• Lightweight: These boots are virtually weightless. The tongue-less design wraps the entire foot in a stretchy textile material, perfectly adapting to its shape. The comfort was such that I experienced no discomfort, sores or blisters from the first use.

• Design: Visually, they are spectacular. They have a greenish yellow colour with blue details and a gradient sole that conveys a feeling of speed.

• Materials: At least 50% recycled materials in the upper, highlighting Puma´s environmental commitment.

• GripControl Pro Technology: The rough outer surface improves precision in touch and ball control, while remaining flexible and moldable to the foot.

• Laces: Thin and discreet. They do not interrupt contact with the ball and, in my experience, it was not necessary to tighten them too much thanks to the excellent fit of the boot.

OVERALL EVALUATION

After testing them on dry natural grass and the latest generation of artificial grass, I can confirm that they are comfortable, light and agile boots. They stand out for facilitating quick and precise changes of direction, as well as improving technique in crosses with a twist and short passes.

Recommendation : Ideal for fast and dynamic players, such as wingers, full-backs or full-backs, who need to react quickly to any play.
