I will preface this with I just got my boots yesterday, so this is a "first blush" review. Opening the box was somewhat of a religious moment, as I have never spent this kind of money on riding boots, I have had nothing but Harley Davidson riding boots to this point. The craftsmanship is spot on, no stray threads, no blemishes, they looked exactly like I expected, actually better, as the pictures don't really do them justice. I was concerned about fit, because I have wide "Fred Flintstone" feet, but I slipped them on and BOOM! Perfect. Stiff as all get out (almost felt like ski boots!), but that was to be expected (I read a LOT of reviews before purchasing). I wore them around the house and out to run some quick errands and they "loosened" up enough for me to feel comfortable riding them. Took them out on my Dyna (with mid controls) and they felt great. My biggest surprise was how comfortable they were temperature wise (outdoor temp was 94 degF and HUMID). For a full grain, well protected and waterproof boot, my feet weren't "sweating like a whore in church". Getting my toe under the shifter was a bit of a challenge at first, but that went away quickly. I do need to adjust my foot brake up a little because pushing down that far is a challenge, and in an emergent situation, it could be a problem. I can already see after one ride how these boots are going to patina quite nicely and tell the story of my adventures. I do ride street, and the "Leave the main road" doesn't feel wrong, as I am a back road rider. If the long term quality is as good as the initial quality, the Dust Devils will be money very well spent. I am looking forward to years of use and comfort with these boots!
