Wouldn't trust anything less than a fully synthetic oil for my scooter. This Motul is perfect as it's MB graded (suitable for engines without wet clutch) which is exactly what you need for scooters. Most motorcycle oils are type MA or MA2 which means they include anti-slip additives for engines with wet clutches. You don't want or need those additives in a scooter engine. There is a very small choice of fully synthetic MB oils but I think Motul is one of the best. I hope they make a 10W40 fully synthetic MB which is not available at present.

I just received the product but the packaging is different and on the amber it says that it is Jaso MA instead of MB. Is it the same oil? Does it come in a new format?

Jason MA is specific for motorcycles, scooters with multi-plate clutch in oil bath. Jason MB is only suitable for CVT clutch. Jason MA is suitable for both types of clutch.

I have been using this oil for many years Motul Scooter Power Oil 4T 10W30 MB 1L for a 2014 honda shi125 esp engine and it is the perfect one for it. I change the oil and spark plug every year and the engine has almost 50,000 km.
