high-tech where safety is concerned:

- the unique manufacturing methods used for helmet shells at schuberth ensure low weight while retaining optimum stability. direct fibre processing (dfp) is one of schuberth’s innovations. it involves an endless spool of glass fibre being cut into pieces by a robot and blown into a mould. a precisely defined quantity of resin is added to the preform and it is then compressed at high pressure in a heated mould to create an exceptionally high-strength helmet shell.
- the multi-part construction of the inner shell allows for outstanding force absorption, thereby enhancing safety.

The helmet is really great. Comfortable quiet well finished and very well ventilated. It is clear that the acoustics and aerodynamics have been thoroughly tested. The sound system is also fine. Watch out for sizes. I normally wear an xl (61-62 for many brands). But to this extent the M1 presses on my forehead. Perfect the xxx. In fact, the size chart on the Schuberth website shows for xl = 60 - 61, XXL = 62 - 63. Two details seemed to me a step under the high quality of the helmet, the sun visor control and the chin strap. While the visor closes perfectly, has no rustle, has an almost hydraulic movement and can be stably positioned at any opening angle, the sun visor did not give me the same feeling of precision and solidity. The strap cover, on the other hand, is made with very comfortable and well-padded material, but long. Evidently made to cover the whole strap, some kind of fastening had to be thought of, perhaps velcro, to always find it in the correct position.
