I needed a good comfortable shoe for The Tunnel Ultra which is basically all weekend on tarmac. I was drawn to the Solarboost 4 as I get on well with boost cushioning and also the current price was a bargain. After reading up I could see the tongue was nice and thick and would offer good protection from hours of laces pressing against the top of the foot. I could also see plenty of cushioning detail around the heel and Achilles areas. The shoes were superb for the event. I managed 130 miles and my feet had no trouble at all, no blisters or black toes. The shoes fitted perfectly, although I went up half a size from normal, mainly to be safe with feet swelling after hours of running. There were times where I needed to pick the pace up and the rebound and response was there even with such a cushioned shoe. For longer runs I would seriously recommend this shoe to anyone. A great shoe for high mileage training weeks too. A very satisfied customer

Km devourers

80% of my training is zone 1, zone 2; This means about 70-80 kilometers a week, so I need cushioned, stable shoes and, above all, very good durability. The combination of Boost and continental rubber are ideal for this. I weigh 56 kg, have good technique and use them only on asphalt and treadmill at calm paces (in my case from 4.45 to 5 min/km). By the way they are going, I think I will do them for 1000 km without problems. The other alternative that I have to devour km are the Solar Glide, which although in theory they are for heavier runners are also great for me and have outstanding stability.

Having a sprained ankle and knee at the moment, they are the right shoes in my case. The only thing I can say against it is that using orthopedic insoles it tends to slide forward when inserting the foot (It's my number 27.5 cm) but otherwise I'm happy with them.
