The Terrex Swift R3 Mid GTX’s upper is made from a highly breathable and durable textile mesh that employs heat-sealed reinforcements for maximum support. An enlarged heel counter increases multi-directional stability, while a speed lacing system - joined by a mid-cut heel collar - improves midfoot grip. A GORE-TEX® layer brings a considerable degree of waterproofing to the upper.

The size came very fitting, meaning it fit like a socks. I have normal foot (not wide), the shoes is like mold of my foot. It's tight and the toe box very cramp, just bare able to wiggle my toe but surprisingly it doesn't hurt one bit. Order a size or half larger if you pefer more freedom of your feet Waterproofness by goretex is up to standard. Overall: very happy with the shoes

I already had Terrex flat shoes and I was fine, especially with the way the foot fits in the front, which does not wrap at all. My need was to have light and comfortable shoes like sneakers but with a high collar in order to have the ankle protected and avoid sprains. Since I don't go into stony ground or places that are too ugly, I didn't want boots because they would be too heavy and excessive for the types of routes I usually do. These are perfect. Lightweight, waterproof. The part of the ankle, to increase stiffness, is reinforced with a padding which, once the shoe is closed, blocks the shoe above the ankle while leaving excellent mobility for the foot. The sole is very textured and has an excellent grip on stones and mud. Aesthetically they have a spectacular yield. Perfect for light trekking, walks in the woods, days in the snow. Not suitable if you have to make mega excursions in difficult places, since the lightness of the shoe is paid for with less reinforcements and less foot protection in the upper part. As for fit, to make a comparison I have the 42 from Nike and for the Terrex (unlike other Adidas models) I also wear the 42.

My other boots weight like 4 times more than these ones -- the Terrex are so lightweight and I really like that . Nobody wants to walk around with cement weights on their feet . So far comfortable and I like the look of them - only weird thing was they were extremely squeeky on wood floor -- but that is because they are so new and grippy (They are for hiking, so ya , duh) . Great shoe. Thanks
