Although I still have a new pair of Lone Peak I couldn't resist trying these Altra Mont Blanc, they have excellent cushioning in a shoe with a very low weight, I think they will be adequate to run a 120km competition in July

sneakers with excellent cushioning, but do not feel too soft on the ground, the outsole works out very well, tenacious, the ground and stones pass well. A slightly strange solution with a fabric in the forefoot, no hard protection, but so far I haven’t hit my toes on the stones.

The good: The Ego Max foam, the foot shaped toebox, light weight, Vibram rubber providing great traction on wet surfaces. The not so good: the heel cup not locking the heel,giving you a loose feeling, the round laces, the not so resistant upper mesh, a weird kinda too low toebox height at the very top. Wishes : correct all the not so good above plus add some protection for the toes, and some drainage system maybe, a more resistant upper and inner mesh and one that offers more protection against cold and water. In general, great bouncy feeling, fast, but am concerned with the durability of the mesh.

I am hesitating between two ALTRA brand Trail Running models: the MONT BLANC model and the OLYMPUS 5 model. What is the difference between the two models? Thanks

Altra mont blanc is more a race shoe, made to be light and fast. Cons part is it is very fragile and not durable. My shoe upper part went off after 100km race. And it was only 2 times using that shoe. Altra olympus 5 I bought at UTMB event. It is very comfortable, if u like padding in shoe U will like this shoe. Very durable, but on the other side, it is abit heavy. Suitable for training and race too if u running long distance.
