Effectively keeps the heat well, personally I took a size S I prefer to have this type of clothing well adjusted in order to put a rain jacket above (1m73, 65kg), only small complaint, there is no pocket zipped interior as specified in the characteristics. I've got a 38" chest but am slim build and read elsewhere to take a size smaller than normal - I went for 'S' rather than 'M' - this was good advice as the gillet is a comfortable fit: still not tight. I think medium would have been way too loose.
