Skier and Atomic ambassador Pol Rocamora explains his experience with the Atomic Maveric and Maven

cabecera

SKI OVERVIEW:

Maverick is a very versatile ski. It is true that it has a very freeride aspect, which makes it very attractive to look at. But it´s built for toughness and the grip to let you turn hard on hardpack. In addition, its stability provides confidence when facing steep slopes or with untreated snow.

BEHAVIOR AND CONCLUSIONS

This ski is stable, light and tough enough to perform in all kinds of conditions. On untreated snow, its rocker provides the buoyancy that we would demand from an off-piste ski, while its hardness allows you to perform driven turns on hard snow with good performance.

For me it is a very versatile and powerful ski for daily use. It´s that piste and off-piste ski that you can use all season long without having to worry about “what ski am I going to take today” or “how will the snow be today”. It is simply a guaranteed hit.

SKIER PROFILE TO WHOM YOU WOULD RECOMMEND SKIING

I would recommend this ski to all types of levels and profiles. The Maverick model is available in 2 different constructions: the carbon C models are softer and better for mid-level riders; and the Titanium TI models are a bit stiffer and plumper, perfect for skiers looking for a higher point of performance. When it comes to ski styles, the Maverick is available in different waist widths. I would recommend the narrower ones for people who mainly ski down the piste and the wider ones are for people who go off-piste a bit whenever they see the opportunity.
