I purchased these during the first Covid19 lockdown, when the pools were closed and I was worried about losing all the upper body strength I'd developed through swimming. I fixed a Petzl climbing hanger to an outside wall of my house to attach the cords to and did my exercises with them on the adjacent patio. I've never used swim cords before and had a quick look online for the range of stretches I could incorporate into a workout and ended up with sixteen, covering all four strokes and did multiple sets of reps of these. The results were an eye-opener! After several months of using these three times per week (and maintaining my cardio fitness through turbo sessions and fast walks) I returned to the pool. It was commented on by my swimming associates that I was the one who seemed to have moved forward compared with everyone else! To be fair, I'd probably regressed the least, but hey ho, the cords worked! They certainly improved my 'catch and pull' across all strokes. I rate this product. It's well made and the options of handles and paddles gives you the options you need when breaking down your stroke exercises. I opted for the strong (red) ones and they were perfect for me. The smell that a previous reviewer commented on? Yep it's there, but as I was outside it wasn't an issue. An excellent product and one I would recommend.

The product is of good quality and well thought out. A big downside relating to the smell of the product upon receipt, very unpleasant. I had to leave all the items to soak in product to reduce the odor without being able to completely remove it.
