A hard drive that does the job

Hard disk working without problem on PC, much faster in data transfers than what I could observe on other recent Toshiba disks. The brand has a reputation for great reliability, this will be confirmed over time. The size for the operating system is only 4.55TB, but this is always the case for the sizes announced by the manufacturers, given the choice of the base expressed for the capacity of their disks. Tradeinn was late in shipping the product because although it was advertised as "In Stock", it had to be ordered from a supplier. The delivery therefore took ten days longer than the time announced on the site. But the customer service contacted on this subject did not scroll and explained the situation without detours.
Seagate, a safe bet.

A hard drive that works perfectly without having to do anything, and perfectly silent. Good write performance, at least initially. On large transfers (several tens of Gb), you can see the speed drop gradually, but it is still higher than what I have seen on Toshiba disks in particular (starting at 110 MB per second on this Seagate, while a Canvio Toshiba disk tops out at around 75MB/s on my machine) The size displayed on the disk by the system is 4.5TB, but this is a consequence of the Tio/TB conversion, so the manufacturer is not to blame. Delay in shipping from Tradeinn, the disc announced "in stock" was in fact on order, and therefore the package arrived ten days late. But Tradeinn's sales department was responsive and explained the problem to me without hesitation.
