Adidas Terrex Ax4 Hiking Shoes are perfect to walk or run in the mountains since they are prepared for all types of terrains and have high durability, thanks to their sole with excellent traction, cushioning, and stability to spend more hours in the middle of nature.
These trekking shoes are made with a Continental outsole that gives excellent grip with their thick studs on all types of surfaces. They include the EVA double-density midsole that provides stability and superior cushioning.
They have a mesh upper that gives a comfortable fit, while synthetic reinforcements increase their resistance against abrasions. These hiking sneakers present a reinforced tongue, a protective toe cap, textile lining, a drag strip, and traditional laces.
Comfortable, stable and versatile, these men´s hiking shoes are built to move fast through varied terrain.
The hybrid design blends hiking-shoe support with a running-shoe-like feel.

I was out and about in Madeira with the shoe. Several hikes of over 10 km, sometimes in the rain and mud. The shoe has great grip and is also very light.

Waterproof not just water repellent there is a difference also have a gore tex lining and are sturdy shoes for walking whether it is in a city or countryside location, got these terrex on a discount and are my 2nd pair, there is different versions of terrex walking shoes , in my opinion I like them.

Second pair of terrex ideal for working in the winter months keep feet dry and warm. Only slight negative is that as a walking/ hiking shoe I think a thicker more comfortable innersole would be ideal.

The boots run about 1.5 sizes too small. I usually wear 9uk adidas, but here I took 10.5uk according to the site’s recommendation. At first, one shoe stung, then it seemed to wear off. Not a bad shoe for cold climates. The foot does not freeze during winter walks. Excellent continental sole.

The comfort is undeniable, the grip quality of the Continental sole is top notch, both in dry and wet conditions. The only downside was that my toes were watery at the slightest descent. It is true that the front of the shoe is quite spacious, but the tongue is flexible and thin, which means that it lacks support on the instep to keep the heel well at the back. So, I recommend a size larger for strong feet. I had to resell mine because the return deadline had passed. Maybe I'll take them again...
