Whether in woods or mountains, adidas’ Terrex Swift R2 Mid Gore-Tex will allow you to go further. These trail running shoes have an advanced, outdoor-oriented design that can endure each kind of terrain.
These shoes’ outsole, built with extra-resistant Continental™ rubber compound, makes use of adidas’ trademark Traxion technology to give you excellent traction in all directions, regardless of the terrain’s hardness or humidity. An adiprene layer on the midsole ensures maximum cushioning, better absorbing impact on rough terrain.
On their upper, adidas has provided a ripstop mesh to lighten the shoes’ weight and increase its breathability. A Gore-Tex® membrane blended inside the mesh provides waterproof qualities, while a series of TPU reinforcements in the midfoot and the toecap, along with a mid cut that shields your ankles from injuries and abrasion, keep your feet protected.
An anti-gravel tongue protects your feet’s instep from stones, branches and external elements, secured by a Quicklace nylon lacing that makes putting on these shoes easier, with a snug fit as well. Its lace bungee stows laces across the midfoot to help avoid tangling and stumbling along the way.

After several outings on all types of terrain, snow, dirt, mud, rock... I can say that they are great boots. They are quite rigid due to all the reinforcements and the continental sole, if you want soft shoes for agile and fast walks, look for another option. Great on rock, snow and rainy days. As they are rigid and have gore tex, I recommend an extra size.

Boots ordered half size larger than I would otherwise go, based on the previous reviews and the size is perfect. Arrived just under 3 weeks to New Zealand. So far I haven't used them on the tracks, just a few basic flat walks but looking forward to using them in the hills. They feel slightly hard unde foot but hopefully that's because they're still new.

Thats an amazing boot. It's light, but tough. It seems it will last really long, very good grip on the Continental sole. Adidas made a really good job on those. A little bit on the pricy side, but thats no doubt you get what you paid for. I bougth this boot to use everyday on work and on my weekend trails, i go to work on a motorcicle, and often face rain. The goretex work really well and keep my feet dry. I would definitely buy it again. Little tip: give a look on the Adidas Free Riker and on the Salomon X ultra 4 mid. Both have same build quality, but have a more comfortable/soft midsole. By the way, they are absolutely gorgeous.

The truth is that they are excellent shoes, I tried them under water and they are totally waterproof! just what I was looking for for my trip! The shoes at first glance seem very good, aesthetically beautiful I must say that even if very solid on the outside, fitting it remains comfortable on the foot, it is in gore tex so waterproof on Saturday I try it on a walk in the mountains with a bit of snow and we will see but I am confident i bought an extra number based on the other reviews and i did well, i usually wear 42 2/3 adidas i got 43 1/3 perfect, top shipping as always !! keep it up

already had a pair of terrex shoes for 2 years. used them on quite demanding hikes, get them covered in mud pretty much every weekend. they're still doing farily well. the sole of these shoes is basically unbreakable, solid and stable. had to buy the mid-boots version this time for having ,more ankle support. they might feel a bit hard in the beginning, but walk 20-30miles in them and they'll feel great. definitely not for walking on iced terrain. wet slabs are fine, unless they're really smooth. the goretex membrane will last more or less depending on what sort of terrain you go for. but can be easily restored with no problems. definitely get half size on top of what you normally wear, they're quite narrow. but again, they'll get much better with time and the width will adapt to your feet. definitely recommend.

In case it works for someone, I spend 42.5 on running shoes. In mountain footwear with goretex, which is usually harder, I spend a 43. In this model I have bought a 43 1/3 and it is luxurious. The boot is of good quality, very versatile and very comfortable although at first it may feel somewhat hard or rigid. It is best to use it two or three times in short trips to "tame" it.

The boot looks pretty good to me in every way. The sole grips quite well. If I had to get a serious hit that is a bit harsh. The last is a bit narrow so if you have a wide foot maybe medium or a number more it would not hurt

In the Netherlands mainly used for daily walks with the dog in the polder. Shoes regularly got wet in the meadows and remained dry on the inside. excellent grip on unpaved trails. I have now bought my third pair. I run about 1300km a year with it. The continental sole is fine and after 1300 km not yet on. The top side suffers from regular wetting and then wears out the fastest. More I think they are lovely shoes that you hardly need to wear.

My advice is not to be guided by your usual size. It is best to measure the foot as accurately as possible and compare it with the Adidas measurement chart. The result would be your usual size and for sports it is advisable to buy the next largest. Keep in mind that with gore tex, heat and exercise feet swell. And also these boots are rigid so a fair size will end up bothering you and more on the descents. It is always convenient that there is about 1 cm.

Honestly used last year for the whole winter period with rain, snow, mud ...... not a drop of water has entered. I personally would buy them again.

I personally always take one more number. I also recommend an extra number to you, also consider that you will wear thicker socks, good purchase !!!
