The adidas Terrex Swift R3 Mid GORE-TEX® hiking boots are ready to put your feet on the gas, reassuring why this name is revered by professional hikers globally. Although they keep the previous edition’s silhouette at first glance, these boots hide several improvements that make them the fastest in this series.
The Lightstrike midsole is lighter and more technical than ever in the Terrex Swift R3 Mid GTX, with an extra-soft cushioning that will keep you leading the pack at all times. For added midfoot stability, adidas’ new Pro-Moderator sole cage hugs the plantar arch to protect your feet during longer hikes. Meanwhile, the legendary Continental™ compound rubber outsole gets an almost split design for greater flexibility and improved traction over rocks, mud, and wet ground thanks to its 4.5mm-thick wedge-shaped lugs. A Rock plate protects your feet from accidents and missteps.
The Terrex Swift R3 Mid GTX’s upper is made from a highly breathable and durable textile mesh that employs heat-sealed reinforcements for maximum support. An enlarged heel counter increases multi-directional stability, while a speed lacing system - joined by a mid-cut heel collar - improves midfoot grip. A GORE-TEX® layer brings a considerable degree of waterproofing to the upper.

It is a very comfortable boot, good grip and from the moment you put it on you notice a lot of comfort and support in the foot and ankle. I had some cheap Decathlon ones and they destroyed my feet, with these without any problem. They are expensive, but worth it.

Lightweight and just the right level of rigidity in the sole. Waterproofing was tested yesterday in wet west Cornwall and passed with flying colours. Being broad-footed I sometimes have trouble with footwear rubbing but even with fairly heavy socks they remain comfortable and no discomfort after 20km. A note on sizing : I´m usually a 10.5/11 for a fitted shoe but I ordered 11.5/12 as advised. Spot on!

Excellent quality product. I bought the size 2/3 above the size of the foot, since the objective is walks of about 4 hours in which the foot should swell. Even so, the foot sits in an extraordinary way in the boot. Very comfortable on the foot and still offers enormous protection. The experience with the site has been great.

The size came very fitting, meaning it fit like a socks. I have normal foot (not wide), the shoes is like mold of my foot. It's tight and the toe box very cramp, just bare able to wiggle my toe but surprisingly it doesn't hurt one bit. Order a size or half larger if you pefer more freedom of your feet Waterproofness by goretex is up to standard. Overall: very happy with the shoes

I already had Terrex flat shoes and I was fine, especially with the way the foot fits in the front, which does not wrap at all. My need was to have light and comfortable shoes like sneakers but with a high collar in order to have the ankle protected and avoid sprains. Since I don't go into stony ground or places that are too ugly, I didn't want boots because they would be too heavy and excessive for the types of routes I usually do. These are perfect. Lightweight, waterproof. The part of the ankle, to increase stiffness, is reinforced with a padding which, once the shoe is closed, blocks the shoe above the ankle while leaving excellent mobility for the foot. The sole is very textured and has an excellent grip on stones and mud. Aesthetically they have a spectacular yield. Perfect for light trekking, walks in the woods, days in the snow. Not suitable if you have to make mega excursions in difficult places, since the lightness of the shoe is paid for with less reinforcements and less foot protection in the upper part. As for fit, to make a comparison I have the 42 from Nike and for the Terrex (unlike other Adidas models) I also wear the 42.

My other boots weight like 4 times more than these ones -- the Terrex are so lightweight and I really like that . Nobody wants to walk around with cement weights on their feet . So far comfortable and I like the look of them - only weird thing was they were extremely squeeky on wood floor -- but that is because they are so new and grippy (They are for hiking, so ya , duh) . Great shoe. Thanks

The shoe does not have a quick-release connector. I used it all winter season. I like it a lot. The only downside for me is that the laces are a bit thin. When I want to remove it in a hurry, sometimes it can knot on its own.
