This is the first time I've tried AKU boots. Not been out in the hills in them yet, as I only received them yesterday, but first fitting is positive and the fit good. I have bunnions which can pose a problem when purchasing hiking boots, these AKU Slope GTX boots have enough room at the front to allow for a comfortable fit. I usually by German boots either Meindl or Lowa as they tend to have a wider fitting at the front of the boots, so if this is how AKU boots fit I may look to them in the future. Pleased with my purchase so far, I will up date after I've been out for a Yomp in them.
