Product description Boreal Ninja Climbing Shoes

The original Boreal Ninja broke the mould for climbing shoes. The first ever slip lasted rock shoe, Ninja heralded a new style of lightweight, sensitive, high performance footwear. The latest incarnation of the benchmark shoe brings it bang up to date.With an aggressive downturned profile, super sticky Zenith Ultra rubber and simple elasticated closure, Ninja is ready to tackle the hardest climbs.

Features:

- The highly downturned and asymmetric last shape cradles the foot and maximizes power at the toe. The innovative Wrap Rand™ surrounds and supports the foot, while the elasticated integrated tongue with central pull strap makes for easy fitting. The unlined synthetic upper ensures a comfortable feel. The rubber toe band provides outstanding friction and ensures minimal stretch.

- The snug 3D moulded heel in outstanding Zenith Ultra™ rubber results in exceptional heel hooking ability, and the midsole provides an ideal balance between stiffness on micro edges, and softness on smears. Ninja provides high performance precision and power, with the convenience and comfort of a slipper.

- Uppers: Microfibre upper. Elasticated slipper closure, with integrated tongue and central strap for ease of fitting. Secure fit thanks to its Wrap Rand and torsion band over the front of the foot
- Construction: Slip-Lasted

Technology:

Wrap Rand:
- The wrap rand takes the concept of our V2 Rand and develops it further. The rubber surrounds the arch of the foot and supports it in the optimum position for strength and precision.
- In most rock boots, the heel is tensioned with a basic single band of rubber, which simply pulls and compresses the heel cup. Boreal have developed a more thorough tensioning system with the Wrap Rand.
- A much wider area of the shoe is tensioned, with the strap running all the way under the foot and around the heel. This provides a stable, secure platform for the foot without compromising sensitivity or freedom of movement.

Good Cat, I hope they give me the expected performance, regarding the design it is what it looks like, quite ergonomic even if it costs a bit to put them on, but nothing that cannot be done, they are softer than I expected, hopefully good results in Gym and Rock.

Excellent climbing shoe, a little difficult to make it fit, but I think that with time they will give. Layers would buy 1/2 size more, I bought a 40 3/4 and I wear 42, layers would have to be a 41 1/2. I'm from Argentina and it takes me about a month.

Awesome shoes and service. Very fast delivery to Australia. Sizing is a little smaller compared to older Boreal models IMO. I wear a 43 street shoe and went for a 42 in these. Very tight fit, I think they'll be great when they soften up a little. I would probably go 42.5 if I were to purchase again.

Great mid grade slipper

Absolutely love these slippers. Had the original teal coloured ones from way back. After a few resoles they finally died, so I got the newer yellow version. They are very similar to the original but do improve on it by fitting higher and more securely around the ankle as well as adding a rubber patch on top of the toe. They fit my Egyptian toe profile absolutely perfectly. These are one of my favourite shoes for vertical or slab climbing with a lot of edging or jamming toes into crack. The Ninjas are firm but surprisingly sensitive. Don't know how much longer these will be available, but will be picking up another pair if I find them on sale, just in case

I would like to know if the size reference of the climbing shoes is already one or two sizes smaller than my normal shoes or if the reference given is the original foot size and I need to buy two sizes smaller than the reference.

Normally I use 39 eu and I don´t understand the table of measurements, what would be the ideal thing to use?

In my case I use 41 eu for everyday shoes and buy climbing shoes half a number less (7 uk). The Boreal, which I have been using for more than 20 years for climbing, "yield" much less than other brands so it is not necessary, in my opinion, to buy them much smaller. I hope I was useful, Danilo.

Hello, I bought these beastsss... I´m 39, and I bought 40 3/4, at first it was very difficult to put them on, and it strangled my feet, I had to ask for help to remove them haha and after two months of use, they still maintain their firmness..., It costs a little less to put them on, but it´s not like one with a clasp or laces either! Colleagues of mine in size 40, 41 could not wear them. Buying them with your eyes closed you will never regret.
