Xmt 80+10 l backpack, for mountain expedition

The XMT-80+10 backpack, in general terms, is very good. The fabric is very resistant to abrasion, resists a light rain, without wetting the interior. The straps that support the back can be adjusted very well, from a size S to XL (distance from the shoulders to the hips), which allows a better fit, achieving that most of the weight is carried by the hips (80% approx. .) and not the shoulders (approx. 20%). It fits very well on the back. The design of the lower closure is very practical, which added to the front closure makes access to the interior of the backpack very expeditious. It is a good backpack for mountain expedition. The negative aspects are that the hooks of the straps to close the upper hood, are half plastic and aluminum. At the first exit a hook broke, in the plastic part. I complained to FERRINO Italia and they sent me 4 100% aluminum hooks as spare parts, paying only the freight. Also, the side straps are very short. It is difficult to tie up a 2-person tent, it is very tight. The belt is very long, it is designed for fatter people, so the pockets are very close together. I am 1.7 m tall and weigh 78 kg.The rear hooks of the detachable upper hood come off easily, so I replaced them with snap ones, standard on all packs. In general, and what I think is most important is to replace all mooring hooks with 100% aluminum ones. It is strange that the XMT- 60+10 version has all the hooks 100% aluminum.
