Haglöfs Duality AT1 Goretex hiking boots

These are the new DUALITY AT1 GORETEX boots for climbing and mountaineering , their innovative and resistant design guarantees you a comfortable and pleasant day, thanks to the incorporation of GORETEX technology it gives you great elasticity and coupling to your foot.

They are made with recycled and water repellent fabrics to keep you cool at all times. It has a reinforced heel for greater comfort in each step.

It has a removable Bloom Foam midsole and an outsole made of highly resistant and durable rubber, which guarantees great traction on untidy terrain. Its rear handles make it easy to use. A totally new type of responsibly-built outdoor shoe, driven by innovation and versatility.

Made with recycled materials, and built with easily-replaceable parts to make it last longer:but that´s not all.

Thanks to an innovative exchangeable midsole, this is two shoes in one - a softer shoe for daily use and a harder one for rougher terrain or heavier loads.

Fitted with a stretch GORE-TEX® membrane to keep you dry in all conditions, and reinforced with a supportive heel counter, toe protection and high-quality leather.

The durable water repellent action of our PFC-free DWR treatments comes from a hydrocarbon based, silicone based and/or wax based technology instead of fluorinated chemical.

Irrespective of the ‘active ingredient´, all PFC-free DWR treatments used are totally free from all perfluorinated chemicals (PFC) (of course including both perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)), free from other halogenated substances and free from alkylphenolethoxylates, including nonylphenolethoxylates.

The possible drawbacks are that the oil repellency and the durability of the PFC-free DWR treatments may be slightly lower than for a PFCcontaining option and therefore re-treatment for water repellency may be necessary at an earlier point in time.

In all, we use very good, environmentally friendly alternatives to PFC-containing DWR treatments.

FABRICS:Washing instructions:Cleaning:Prepare the footwear by removing surface dirt such as mud and grit.

When cleaning Haglöfs footwear, it is important to use a soft sponge under clean lukewarm running water.

Dry the footwear off with a clean cloth or rag at a natural temperature.

Do not use the aid of an external heat source or direct sunlight.

Direct heat may alter the shape of the shoe.

Footwear should never be cleaned in a washing machine.

For best comfort and foot climate, also clean the inside of the footwear now and then using a soft brush and lukewarm water.

Remove the footbed before washing.

To speed up drying, fill each boot or shoe with newspaper and let the paper absorb the majority of the moisture before removing it to allow the footwear to finish drying.

Regardless of whether you clean the inside or outside, make sure your footwear dries at room temperature, never with the aid of a heater or drying cabinet (excessive heat may for instance cause the leather to crack).

Cleaned footwear is best stored at room temperature using a shoe tree.

Never store dirty shoes.

Before first use, treat boots and shoes with waterproofing, including the laces and tongue.

After drying, brush Nubuck and suede products with a suede brush to regain that buffed look.

A suede brush can also be used for lighter cleaning.

Treat the cleaned surfaces of boots and shoes regularly with waterproofing.

Some agents are best applied to the surface while it is still a little damp and the leather pores are open so that the waterproofing is able to penetrate in depth (follow the instructions on the packaging).

It is advantageous to treat Nubuck and suede boots and shoes with wax for extra protection against moisture and wear
