HAGLOFS brings you this time the new V SERIES MIMIC jacket for climbing and mountaineering, designed for cold climates in the mountains. Thanks to its synthetic insulation and the combination of fabrics, it offers excellent insulation and at the same time moisture control.
Internally it is lined with a highly breathable fabric to keep you cool at all times. Their surfaces are water and dirt repellent. It is an extremely light jacket that provides great warmth and comfort.
It has two side pockets and a chest pocket, all with zippers. It has a full front zipper with a very comfortable chin guard.
Our V series Mimic Hood is filled with Mimic Platinum, a high performance synthetic insulation.
It also contains graphene to conduct your body heat and spread it throughout the garment.
It´s lined with a breathable fabric with superb moisture management properties.
The surface is wind and water resistent and treated with a fluorocarbon free DWR to repel water and dirt.
This combination enhances wearing comfort and gives the best warmth to weight - making this jacket ideal for cold mountain activities.

The durable water repellent action of our PFC-free DWR treatments comes from a hydrocarbon based, silicone based and/or wax based technology instead of fluorinated chemical.
Irrespective of the ‘active ingredient´, all PFC-free DWR treatments used are totally free from all perfluorinated chemicals (PFC) (of course including both perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)), free from other halogenated substances and free from alkylphenolethoxylates, including nonylphenolethoxylates.
The possible drawbacks are that the oil repellency and the durability of the PFC-free DWR treatments may be slightly lower than for a PFCcontaining option and therefore re-treatment for water repellency may be necessary at an earlier point in time.
In all, we use very good, environmentally friendly alternatives to PFC-containing DWR treatments.

Washing instructions:Machine wash 30, mild process.
Do not bleach.
Tumble dry, normal, low heat.
Iron on low setting.
Do not dry clean:wash with zippers and hook and loop fastener closed.
Do not use fabric softener.
We recommend using soap-free detergent, half dosage.
Wash with similar colours.
Slow spin for a long time for easier drying.
Tumble dry garment with 3 tennis balls, until completely dry.
Separate the loose fiber filling by hand to restore loftiness when the garment is dry.

It is very warm for its low weight, as soon as you put it on you start to feel the difference. Keep in mind that the sizes are a little tighter, at 170 cm and 85 kg size L fits me well and I can add other layers underneath, so it's good for temperatures below 0.

At 174cm and 58kg, it's a slim figure, but it's almost just the right size. Japanese jackets tend to be baggy when fitted to the length of the arms, but Hoglofs is slim and has long arms, which is just right.

Great jacket. Lightweight and warm. Pleasant to the touch. Withstands wind, light rain and snow. Can be worn down to -5 degrees. I am satisfied. Recommend. The product was delivered very quickly. The Tade Inn team, as always, is on top.

First, about the pros - the jacket is really very light and thin, but at the same time - warm. It is comfortable in statics down to -5C, when the jacket is dressed in thin thermal underwear and with a slight wind. With heavy traffic, I think that even up to -10 -15C it will be quite comfortable. The pockets are warm, the chest pocket is large. Better than fleece at least because it is more wind resistant. Long, in motion the back does not open. The only downside is the hood. More precisely, its adjustment - when tightened, it slides over the eyes, closes the view. Although, if you pull on a helmet, then perhaps the problem will disappear. The outer fabric is expectedly thin, I would not rub it against the rocks. But this is not a disadvantage, but a consequence of its functionality.

Truly fantastic jacket, the warmest lightweight jacket I have ever worn. 44 inch chest I got the XL, fits perfectly. Arrived quickly (a week from Spain to UK). Only criticism I have is no stuff sack provided, but I got the Rab small jacket stuff sack so no problem for me.

Immediate warmth as soon as you put it on. The Gore lining stops wind getting through and is comfortable against the skin. Good hood, pockets and cut, also light and packable. A good choice for backpacking and daily wear.
