Merrell WP Maipo 2 Hiking Shoes have materials and technologies that facilitate the exploration of the mountains so you can move with confidence, safety, maximum traction, cushioning, and breathability.
These hiking shoes are designed with the most resistant sole and with a better grip in the market, the Vibram TC5+ also has 3.5 mm studs that hold firmness of any terrain. The molded EVA midsole favors a cushioned and stable step, while the internal Kinetic FIT BASE insole allows excellent support to the foot.
The upper is made with mesh and synthetic leather, which guarantees great durability and breathability. These trekking shoes come with a protective toe cap and traditional laces integrated into the tongue that avoid the entry of elements of the ground to the interior.
This summer shoe is built with quick-drying materials and a laser-cut Vibram® outsole that offers great traction along the way on dry and wet terrain, giving it great reliability on the trails in aquatic environments.

After my old Waterpro slowly showed signs of dissolution in the mesh (many years of continuous use in summer), I ordered the Maipo as the successor model. Top price at TradeInn. Also available in 48 and approx. €20 cheaper than in Germany. Slightly longer delivery time, but reliable delivery from Spain. Fits in 48 (normal shoe size for me 46.5).

Very good shoes, robust, airy, comfortable and durable. For me, this is the 5th or 6th pair of this type of shoes, starting from the previous Maipo I model. I have been wearing this type of shoes for many years. For the summer season, these are the best shoes from various brands and models used so far. On average, they last about 2 to 3 seasons with daily use for about 7-8 months a year. I recommend.

My 2nd Merrell.... very comfortable. The only flaw is the fragility of the perforated fabric that my little finger easily broke. Apart from this little detail, perfect for grip hiking, even in the wet. As I said, very comfortable.
