I have not tried it with hot water yet, but the fresh water holds it perfectly in the middle of summer throughout the day with the heat of the sun and the car. And I say fresh water because I can't stand cold water so I don't add ice cubes or anything, just fresh water, and it doesn't heat up no matter how hot the car has gone through (everyone else who had their normal bottles had to water the plants with the water since they couldn't even drink it). For me the aesthetics are perfect, the quality of the materials all 100% stainless steel (including the cap, which is important to me) and it only has a silicone ring that acts as a gasket to make it 100% hermetic. ABSOLUTELY 100% RECOMMENDED. Thanks Salewa
