Salomon X Ultra 4 Mid Goretex boots have evolved to offer a new chassis that provides greater fit and support to the ankle and stability for your mountain explorations on technical terrains, ascents, and descents with more grip, cushioning, and waterproof protection.
These mountain boots have a Contagrip MA sole with spike studs that give excellent durability and a superior grip on complex, wet, hard, or slippery surfaces. The Energy Cell midsole offers smooth cushioning, and the Active Support technology is responsible for stability regardless of steps or movements.
The Goretex waterproof membrane protects from water or mud and your feet are kept dry the entire trip. The upper of these mid boots is made with leather, a polyurethane cover, and mesh for maximum durability and resistance to scratches.
The OrthoLite foam, with anti-odor and anti-microbial treatment, gives more comfort, softness, and increases cushioning, while the Sensifit technology hugs the foot offering a comfortable and customized fit. These trekking boots are ties with normal laces and have mud and toe cap protection to prevent bumps with stones.

Comfortable, but short-lived

I have these boots in the women's version, very comfortable, not heavy, good grip. I gave these to my partner, he is very happy but after 9 months of use, the fabric has cracked in the area of the fold where the foot bends, between the toes and the instep. It's a shame because the boots are light, very comfortable and suitable for walking in the mountains and hiking, they grip the ground well, but I expected better quality and for them to last longer.

I ordered 1/2 size up as normal when buying hiking boots which I use for walking my dog each morning but also for long distance walks. My son who did 3 100k walks in these boots recommended them to me. The boots are as described - very light but not compromising the boot strength or structure. Very comfortable to wear with good grip underfoot and importantly enough room with thick socks. Salomon are a leading brand in my opinion and the Ultra 4 GTX do not disappoint. Trekkinn had them discounted by 17% as well so a good price for an excellent boot.

They arrived on time very well packaged. I´ve already done 20Km and they fit like a glove: I feel the toes loose, they adhere very well to the instep and stability is felt in the heel. I just don´t know how long they´ll last. We´ll see

Excellent so far. I've got a couple of pairs of much cheaper (other brand) boots that were intended for Hols. I have arthritis in both ankles so I need the support. Just acquired a new puppy so I'm out daily in all weathers and need some quality. I do believe I have found what I wanted. Comfy & Dry. Easy to clean and look good. Don't expect to stay dry if the water is coming in from the top, dripping from your trousers. Look at the toe area, if dry there then all is fine. Tickety Boo! as they say

I bought them because I already had the previous model and it's time to renew it. And they seem exceptional. If you are looking for comfort, dynamism and a lot of grip, these boots are perfect. Even for intensive use on aggressive terrain, they can be somewhat less durable than other models, but these types of boots seem great to me. They are very very comfortable even just bought, they are light and agile and what I like the most is the exceptional grip they have on all types of terrain. It is a guarantee for certain compromised land. great.
