Review of the Columbia Powder Lite™ Jacket

I live in the Pyrenees and I am passionate about the world of trekking, especially high mountain routes, and I practice it in any season of the year.

A few days ago, Trekkinn and Columbia have given me the opportunity to try their Powder Lite™ jacket and explain you my feelings with it, I´m going to tell you what has been my experience during this month. The first surprise when I put on the Columbia Powder Lite jacket has been its lightness, that´s because it is made of feathers and the truth is very pleasant when walking, in a word: maximum comfort, if you try it, you´ll understand me quickly!

At first I had doubts if it was going to keep the heat well with how light it is and after using it in cold conditions of high mountain, I have seen that it is really impressive how it acts. Honestly, the OMNI-HEAT technology is amazing and as I went along the route I understood its benefits. Inside are a series of reflective dots that are responsible for retaining body heat, it is specifically noted that the body heat is kept inside the jacket, without altering the breathability that escapes. It´s a very nice feeling because, whether it´s very cold or not, you can feel how the jacket adapts to the temperature and you can really focus on what´s important, enjoying the adventure.

Another strong point of the Powder lite™ jacket that I noticed when using it is its resistance to rain and snow. In the Pyrenees it is quite common to encounter unpredictable rain or light snowfall, so it is essential to be well protected when hiking. That´s exactly what I´ve been able to achieve thanks to the repellent technology and of course, together with the reflective thermal lining, I´ve been much better protected and for longer periods of time compared to other jackets I´ve used compared to other jackets I have used before.

All in all, I 100% recommend the Columbia Powder Lite™ jacket for all trekking and hiking enthusiasts this winter, as the different technologies it uses allow us to really enjoy and focus on the adventure with more comfort and pleasure. As an outdoor jacket it is also very valid as it is warm and beautiful, this jacket is going to be a must-have for all my hiking trips this year!
