Gerber Rope Cutter blade

GERBER Rope Cutter | Emergency Hook Knife & Glass Breaker

When a crisis strikes and every second is the difference between safety and peril, you need a tool that performs flawlessly and without hesitation. The GERBER Rope Cutter is engineered for exactly these high-stakes moments. It is a purpose-built rescue tool designed for rapid, reliable, and safe extraction and cutting operations.

With an innovative design that shields the cutting edge, this tool serves its purpose in emergency situations. The 420HC steel hook knife cuts through anything, the molded rubber grip and finger hole add stability, and a glass breaker wastes no time. Hanging upside down and held in with a seat belt or some other tough nylon strapping? No worries. Cutting through the webbing will be like using a hot knife on soft butter. Simple as that. And no need to worry about cuts or punctures where you don’t want them. The design shields the cutting edge, protecting delicate surfaces and, most importantly, the person you are rescuing.

Engineered for first responders, law enforcement, and prepared civilians, this tool excels under pressure. The single-bevel knife edge, combined with the blunt hook design, allows you to get under straps, ropes, or clothing and cut away from the body, drastically reducing the risk of injury. The robust stainless steel construction is finished with a black oxide coating for low-profile use and enhanced corrosion resistance, ensuring it’s ready to perform in any environment.

Secure handling is non-negotiable in an emergency. That´s why this tool features a textured back edge and an injection-molded rubber grip, ensuring a firm hold even in wet conditions or while wearing gloves. The extra-large finger hole and dedicated finger hook provide unparalleled stability and control, allowing for precise, powerful cuts without fumbling when it matters most.

Beyond its primary function as one of the most effective Cutters on the market, this tool is a multi-purpose lifesaver. Integrated into the handle is a potent glass breaker, ready to shatter tempered glass for quick vehicle extraction or escape. A built-in lanyard hole ensures the tool is always within reach, easily attached to gear, a vest, or kept in a vehicle´s emergency kit. Lightweight and compact, it provides immense capability without adding bulk to your loadout. Trust in GERBER´s legacy of quality to deliver a tool that won´t fail when you need it most.
