Excellent material: snugfitting but quickdrying, not too thick. Excellent fit: no seams, a bit of grip so hoods don't slide around. I found the coverage just perfect for using with a dedicated face mask. Many balaclavas try to compromise with adding some coverage for face ' but never enough - and then you tend to get gaps at the side of the face. This protect chin, neck and ears well. Good long neck tube to stay under neck. Works well for sleeping too.Remember that is does not protect the mouth and nose too well. Use a fur ruff, face mask or separate tube on top for that. Combining separate elements gives you a better system alround and ensures that you don't get frostbite next to eyes etc.

I was really surprised in a good way from the quality. I have tried some other before that are not so elastic, but this one is very confortable.

Just like the Odlo Evolution base layer, the balaclava feels like a high-quality product. Non-static and snug fit. However it doesn't quite cover the face (just the chin) which somewhat defeats the purpose of a cold-weather ski mask.
