Petzl Bar accessory

PETZL Bar Accessory for Attache Carabiner – Enhanced Belay Security

Elevate your safety and confidence on the wall or in the mountains with the PETZL Bar accessory, an essential upgrade for your Attache Screw-Lock carabiner. Every climber understands the critical importance of proper equipment orientation, and this removable positioning bar is the definitive solution to prevent the dangerous risk of carabiner cross-loading. Designed with precision and user safety as the top priority, the PETZL Bar is a brilliantly simple yet highly effective accessory that ensures your belay system functions with optimal security and efficiency.

Experience a new level of confidence during critical moments. The Bar accessory is specifically engineered to integrate seamlessly with the Petzl Attache carabiner, keeping it perfectly oriented to load along its major axis. This is crucial for maximizing strength and reliability, whether you are managing the rope for your partner on a challenging sport route, belaying from an anchor, or roping up for glacier travel. By ensuring unidirectional loading, the Bar provides consistent and predictable performance, allowing you to focus on the climb.

Beyond just positioning, this innovative accessory offers a dual-function security system. Once installed and in the closed position, it provides an additional layer of protection by physically preventing the carabiner´s gate from being accidentally rubbed open or unlocking. This feature offers more comfort and significantly increased security, giving you invaluable peace of mind. The clever design also acts as a built-in safety check, as the Bar cannot be closed if the carabiner´s gate is not fully screwed shut and locked, effectively limiting the risk of user error. This lightweight synthetic accessory is a small but powerful addition to any safety-conscious climber´s rack.

Key Features:

* Optimized for Unidirectional Use: Expertly orients the Attache carabiner to ensure it is always loaded along its strong major axis, making it ideal for high-stakes applications like belaying or glacier travel where proper orientation is paramount.
* Enhanced Gate Security: When the BAR is installed and closed, it acts as a physical shield, making it impossible for the carabiner gate to be accidentally unlocked or opened by rope movement or contact with rock, thereby securing the connection.
* Broad Compatibility: Thoughtfully designed to be compatible not only with the current generation of the Attache carabiner (M038AA00/M038AA01) but also with the previous, widely-used Attache version (M38A SL), making it a versatile accessory for many climbers.
