ZALDI Pessoa Bit with Mullen Mouthpiece | Precision, Comfort, and Versatility

Discover the perfect synthesis of refined control and gentle communication with the ZALDI Pessoa Bit. Expertly crafted by one of Europe´s most esteemed equestrian brands, this bit is an exceptional tool for riders seeking to improve their horse´s balance, responsiveness, and overall performance. It is meticulously designed for those who require the nuanced leverage of a Pessoa cheekpiece combined with the comfort of a mild Mullen mouthpiece, making it a highly versatile choice for a range of disciplines, particularly show jumping and cross-country.

The primary benefit of the ZALDI Pessoa bit lies in its innovative cheekpiece design, which offers adjustable leverage. The multiple rings allow the rider to choose the degree of influence, providing a tailored response to the horse´s specific needs during training or competition. When the rein is attached to the main snaffle ring, the bit acts with minimal leverage. As the rein is moved to the lower rings, it introduces gentle poll pressure and a lifting action in the horse´s front end. This is incredibly effective for horses that tend to get heavy on the forehand, lean on the bit, or require assistance in achieving better self-carriage and a lighter, more athletic frame.

At the core of its design is the solid Mullen mouthpiece. Unlike jointed bits that can create a "nutcracker" effect, the unjointed, gently curved bar of the Mullen mouthpiece distributes pressure evenly across the horse´s tongue and the bars of the mouth. This consistent, stable contact is often preferred by horses with sensitive mouths, a low palate, or a busy tongue, as it encourages quiet acceptance and relaxation of the jaw. The result is clearer communication and a more harmonious connection between horse and rider, fostering trust and confidence without resorting to harshness.

Engineered for excellence and longevity, the ZALDI Pessoa Bit is a testament to quality craftsmanship. Its polished finish not only looks professional but also ensures a smooth surface against the horse´s skin, preventing rubbing or irritation. This bit is an invaluable addition to your tack room, offering an adaptable solution for schooling, training, and competition, helping you to unlock a new level of precision and partnership with your equine athlete.
