If it gets a bit cooler, you can easily close the front flap - even when you are riding. I almost always had the back flap open - even when it was raining - and then I pulled the separate rain jacket (with membrane) over it. The rain jacket works perfectly because during a tropical shower you don't get wet from the outside from the rain or from sweating on the inside because it is really breathable.You could also wear the rain jacket underneath (it flaps less), but then the jacket gets wet and even heavier. There is a waterproof pocket in the stomach area, which actually stays dry on the inside (as I discovered when washing). I kept my documents and some foreign currency safe there. There are also 3 large pockets for things like a cell phone, small snacks and even 1-2 water bottles. What I didn't like so much - apart from the weight - is that you always have to fumble a bit when closing the asymmetrical jacket (even after getting used to it for a while). A larger zipper would probably help. I also wouldn't use the jacket - apart from the functional underwear - in the cold season, i.e. at temperatures below 10-12 degrees, as it doesn't have a separate or removable liner. The only thing that helps in that case is an additional fleece jacket or something similar. You can also seal the jacket from below with the integrated but removable (kidney) belt that is integrated inside. Conclusion: If you are looking for a real all-round jacket, you will most likely be happy with this jacket. This also applies to the price, which is, in my opinion, reasonable compared to the competition.

Ansonsten überrascht die Jacke mit vielen positiven Besonderheiten: Integrierte Schulter- und Ellenbogenprotektoren, so dass ich bei Temperaturen oberhalb von 25 Grad stets ohne die abnehmbaren Ärmel gefahren bin. Das Meshgewebe wird bestend durchlüftet. Auch die Durchlüftung am Körper ist wirklich gut, wenn die beiden "Lüftungsklappen" vorne und hinten geöffnet sind. Wenn's mal etwas kühler wird, kann man die vordere Klappe leicht schließen - auch beim Fahren. Die hintere Klappe hatte ich fast immer offen - auch bei Regen -, wobei ich dann die separate Regenjacke (mit Membran) drüber gezogen haben. Die Regenjacke funktioniert perfekt, weil man bei einem tropischen Schauer, weder von aussen durch den Regen noch von innen durch das Schwitzen nass wird, da sie wirklich atmungsaktiv ist. Man könnte die Regenjacke auch drunter anziehen (flattert weniger), aber dann wird die Jacke nass und noch schwerer. Im Bauchbereich gibt es aber eine wasserdichte Tasche, die innen auch tatsächlich trocken bleibt (beim Waschen festgestellt). Dort habe ich sowohl meine Dokumente als auch einiges an Devisen sicher aufbewahrt. In weiteren 3 großen Taschen kann darüber hinaus z.B. noch ein Handy, kleine Snacks und sogar 1-2 Wasserflaschen verstauen. Was mir - abgesehen vom Gewicht - nicht so gut gefallen hat, ist, dass man beim Schließen der asymmetrischen Jacke stets etwas Fummeln muss (auch nach längerer Gewöhnung). Ein gröberer Reißverschluss brächte wohl Abhilfe. Auch würde ich die Jacke – abgesehen von der Funktionsunterwäsche - nicht in der kalten Jahreszeit, dh. bei Temperaturen unter 10-12 Grad nutzen, sie über keinen separaten bzw. abnehmbaren Inliner verfügt. Da hilft dann nur noch eine zusätzliche Fleece-Jacke oder ähnliches. Außerdem kann man die Jacke mit dem innen integrierten, aber abnehmbaren (Nieren-)Gürtel von unten winddicht abschließen. Fazit: Wer eine echte Allround-Jacke sucht, wird mit dieser Jacke sehr wahrscheinlich glücklich werden. Das gilt auch für den m.E. günstigen Preis im Vergleich zum Wettbewerb.
