801 EBI is the first ski and bike helmets of motorcycle derivation. The construction features of the helmet increase the performance in attenuation of energy, penetration resistance and structural integrity.

It boasts a double certification, bike (CE EN1078) and ski (CE EN1077). In addition, it is certified (NTA 8776) with the world´s first safety standard created specifically for Speed E-Bike. It is realized in 6 different sizes to offer an optimal wearability and fitting comfort, and, it has two further Young sizes for the version 801A EBI MONO. It is produced with a shaped visor characterized by a rubber perimeter seal, fixed to the side supports with visible rivets. Visors in different categories of protection and colorings are available as accessories, included the photochromic. The linings, the cheek pads, the neck collar and the under-chin are totally removable and washable. The equipment is completed by the Air Stream System ventilation, the rear google loop, the micrometric buckle, the anti-theft buckle and the elastic strap loop.

Don´t give up on maximum protection: helmets in the 801 range are bike (CE EN1078) and ski (CE EN1077) certified.

E-BIKE: NTA
NTA 8776 is the world´s first safety standard specifically created for Speed E-bikes. As with any pedal-assisted or non-pedal-assisted bicycle, it is always essential to wear a suitable bike helmet to protect yourself in case of a fall or impact. For the e-bike, a higher level of safety is required because an e-bike can be ridden more easily at higher speeds than a traditional bicycle without pedal assistance. This standard goes beyond previous norms; the 801 helmets´ shells can dissipate significantly more impact energy than a traditional helmet and are tested for protection from impacts at higher speeds. The 801 helmets are designed to cover the back of the head and temples and offer maximum coverage around the head without losing significant benefits of lightness and ventilation.

MOTORBIKE HELMET CONCEPTION
ABS OUTER SHELL The outer shell is made of moulded thermoplastic with a minimum thickness of 3mm for the entire surface, guaranteeing maximum impact resistance and dispersion of shocks
INNER SHELL IN EPS The internal protection padding is made of expanded polystyrene in two different sizes with differentiated high performance multi-density to guarantee the best performance in terms of safety combined with wearing comfort.

SHAPED VISOR
The helmet is equipped with a shaped visor in the shape of glasses with anti-scratch treatment, rubber perimeter seal. The visor is riveted to the side supports and is secured to the shell with metal pawls.

SIZE-SPECIFIC INNER LININGS
No annoying adjustments, the 801´s inner linings are made of padding of differentiated thickness and density for each of the 8 available sizes, including 2 dedicated to children, to offer an optimal fit for each head circumference. The inner padding is lined with anti-allergic, antibacterial fabrics and soft on skin contact for total comfort in all conditions of use. The inner linings, the cheek pads, collar neck guard and chin strap are totally removable and washable.

SHELL IN HPT
The shell is printed by injection, the thermoplastic polymers, once cold and hardened after the printing process, grant a high mechanic resistance for the maximum protection from impacts, in a wide range of temperatures, and a high capacity to dissipate the energy deriving from an impact. Moreover, the printed shell keeps its original structure, without defornity or instability, for many years.

Antiscratch painting
Each helmet of ours is carefully treated to obtain the desired finishing. The shell, after having been smoothed, is painted with various layers of colour and then coated with the antiscratch transparent painting.

AIR STREAM SYSTEM
This helmet is equipped with front air vents which allows the fresh air inlet that, passing through the proper ducting in the inner shell, arrives to the rider, helping to keep fresh and oxygenated the inside of the helmet.

Removable cheek pads
The removable cheek pads are fixed to the inner shell with fasteners, mechanisms in hard plastic or velcro, they can be washed with mild soap

Removable chin protector
Chin protector easily removable. It is needed to protect the neck skin to avoid the contact with the chin strap.

Removable neck collar
The neck collar fixed to the inner shell with fasteners, zips and velcro, is an accessory studied to improve the comfort fitting and to protect the nape during colder seasons. It can be easily removed to suit the helmet also to the hotter seasons.

Micrometric buckle
The micrometric buckle for the chin strap closing is made of a button body and by a graduated lath which allow a quick and easy adjustment together with a practical release. The micrometric buckle is, therefore, studied to obtain a quick and safe system of opening/closing and a handy and intuitive adjustment system.

Goggle loop
Rear goggle loop: useful to fasten the goggles strap to the helmet in practical and safe way.

ELASTIC STRAP LOOP
Elasticated fabric loop that allows you to lock the excess strap in the folded position.

I'm currently surprised by the quality and finish of this helmet, even though it's made in China and the designers are Italian. It's also very comfortable. Its modularity (removable visor and ear protectors) also seems promising. We'll see how it performs in use. Tip: My head circumference is usually 58 cm, but I ordered an XXL (61 cm). It's perfect for wearing a hat underneath to combat the winter cold. I have other gear for summer. Use: Mountain biking, but it's also approved for skiing.

Do the ear protectors/liners come off for summer?

Yes, the ear protectors can be easily removed to avoid getting hot. There is no removable lining per se. This is the inner lining of the helmet which is held in place by Velcro and can be removed for washing. If you do not replace this part, the head is no longer properly supported and it is not comfortable.

No, there is no adjustment wheel. For me, the size measured with a tape measure was consistent with the size received. I rode a motorcycle for 20 years, the helmet must not be too loose, otherwise it is useless. Too tight either obviously but the sizes are quite fair.

Hello, in the size guide for the CGm EBi mono I noticed a "young" mention but between two head sizes of the same value, the helmet size is not the same. Example for 53 cm you need an XS (Young) or an L. I suppose that young is for a child model but in this case what is the difference between the child helmet and the adult helmet?
