What our customers are saying about Reebok Nano Zero trainers

Reebok Nano Zero trainers

If you come from minimalism, this isn't for you.

Ángel

Size and Fit: The size 45.5 is correct for me. It's my usual size. For reference, I wear a 46 in Altra, Lems, or Merrell, and in this model, the 45.5 fit me well. Although when you take out the insole and put your foot on it, it doesn't seem like a particularly wide shoe, once your foot is inside, it doesn't feel narrow. The initial fit is loose but firm: it doesn't pinch in any specific spot, but you can feel from the first moment that it's a hard and structured shoe. Construction and Materials: The quality of the materials is very good, especially considering the price. I haven't had time to "wear them out," but the overall feeling is of a robust and durable shoe. Upper: rigid, with a fair amount of plastic material. I couldn't say how breathable it is in the long run. Sole: conveys a sense of durability. Grip: very good, both on gym floors and during lateral movements. Weight: medium to heavy, although it's worth noting that I'm coming from minimalist shoes. Stability and performance: In this area, the shoe performs very well: Squats and lifts: very good stability. The foot lands securely on the ground and the sole responds well.Small jumps and dynamic movements: correct, stable, and with good grip. Cushioning: minimal, but sufficient for gym work. Running: I didn't test them for running, but it's not a shoe I would recommend for anything more than very short runs. I didn't test them for rope climbing or aggressive movements, as my intention wasn't to wear them out, but rather to assess whether they were suitable for everyday use. Comfort during prolonged use: Here's the key point. After about 4 hours of continuous use, I started to notice: Clear chafing on the Achilles tendon, which ended up as a blister. Slight discomfort in the arch of one foot, possibly due to the shoe's rigidity and restricted movement. The heel counter is high and very rigid, with little torsion. Although the shoe is roomy, this rigidity significantly restricts the foot's natural movement. This probably isn't a problem for most users who train for 60–90 minutes, but for someone who spends many hours on their feet in them, it was a problem in my case. Comparison and user type I come from minimalist shoes (Merrell Vapor Glove, Altra for running). The change is drastic: from a "glove" with a completely free foot, to a structured, rigid, and restrictive shoe. If you're coming from Nano, Metcon, or other classic training shoes, I think you might really like this one. If you're coming from pure minimalism, you'll notice a shoe that's considerably stiffer, higher, and more restrictive. Value for money: At €70, the value for money seems brilliant to me. It's probably one of the best budget options for gym training with good stability and durability. Personal opinion and reason for return: The main reason for the return is clear: chafing on the Achilles tendon and a blister within the first 4 hours of use. Furthermore, the overall feeling of stiffness and restriction doesn't suit my needs for long workdays. I don't think it's a bad shoe—in fact, I think it's a very good shoe for its target audience—but it's not the right shoe for me or my daily professional use, especially coming from minimalism. Would I recommend it? Yes, I would recommend it to: People who train at the gym. Users accustomed to Nano, Metcon, or similar shoes. Anyone looking for stability, durability, and good grip at a good price.I wouldn't recommend them to: People coming from minimalist shoes. Anyone who needs to wear them for many consecutive hours during the day.
