I bought these shoes a while ago and they match the photos... Viewed from the side, they are very dark - although the smooth leather at the back is slightly lighter (anthracite) than the deep black further forward... The light grey is the "lining" which is especially striking when viewed from above. As I wrote: the photo corresponds to the shoe I received. I hope this helps.
