Arai Quantic full face helmet

As with all Arai helmets, the Quantic is formed around protection, first and foremost.

Handmade, the outer shell maintains the strength of the core but with a substantial weight reduction.

The smooth, round shape is a key feature of Arai and is primarily designed to "bounce off" and distribute impact forces.

Utilizing the aerodynamic and protective capabilities of Arai´s full-race helmets and all the experience and knowledge gained over millions of kilometers on the road, the new Quantic glides through the air cleanly and efficiently, enveloping its wearer in a luxurious shell.

It offers a new option for motorcyclists who want the best helmet performance, in terms of protection, comfort and ease of use, day after day, without compromise. For easy access in and out, the Quantic features a 5mm flare around the base, while the VAS MAX Vision visor comes with a Anti-fog insert ready to use.

The brushed nylon interior is removable and features a Facial Contour System (FCS) and a coiled wire pocket in the neck roll.

It also features an Emergency Release System (ERS).

This new model has been officially approved and certified according to the ECE 22-06 standard.

GENERAL.

Outer shell: PB e-cLc (Peripherally Belted e-Complex Laminate Construction).

The Quantic´s outer shell design features an elegant and organic shape and uses PB e-cLc for lightweight strength and, for the first time, integrated side ducts.

The AR mat has been replaced with a new material that allows weight reduction while maintaining strength.

An additional layer of Super Fiber belts, instead of the Hyper Ridge found around the base of the Profile-V, maintains rigidity in a crucial area while offering flat sides for easy fitment of an intercom.

The Variable Axis System (VAS) lowers the visor mounting system and produces an average of an additional 24mm in both temple areas, to generate the ideal and smoother shape that increases the ability to shed energy.

Like the Profile-V, the Quantic´s shell widens 5mm around the base, for easier on and off access.

Variable Axis System (VAS). With the VAS system, the visor mounting position is lowered, allowing an average of 24 mm more around the areas of both temples to be used, in search of the ideal smoother shape that will increase the ability to dissipate impact energy.

As a result, a smoother shell has been achieved along and below the Snell standard test line.

VENTILATION.

Quantic Ventilation.

Complete and controllable ventilation is based on 13 ventilation ports: 7 intake, 6 exhaust.

The 3D Arai logo feeds cooling air into two central entry points and works well at low speed, along with dual tear duct upper inlets derived from F1, twin vent holes and 2-position sliding air intake, filtered chin vent.

Hot air is efficiently extracted through the 3-way one-piece rear exhaust / spoiler system, dual inserted side vents (with foam dams to reduce noise) and the neck exhaust system.

Double tear duct upper vents.

Initially extracted from Arai´s F1 helmet, the tear ducts maintain the airflow of the previous design with a compact, lightweight and discreet shape that complements the round and smooth shell.

Open / closed by sliding to prevent water ingress.

FRONT VENTILATION.

3D duct with Arai logo.

Immediately noticeable, the new duct with the Arai 3D logo (manufactured as narrow as possible, only 3.5 mm deep) feeds two central 10 mm inlet ports.

This is the first time in an Arai, and it is entirely due to the strength of PB e-cLc and the shell construction.

It also works very well at low speed and with an upright riding position.

at only 50 km / h it channels an additional 40% airflow, at 120 km / h 7%. It can also be easily opened or closed with summer or winter gloves, via a short stroke lever placed on top.

Chin ventilation with air.

Also new is the sliding chin vent with 3-position air intake (open, intermediate, and closed) that flows a greater volume of air intake and has a replaceable filter.

The drive mechanism is thicker and easier to use with gloves.

Front ventilation.

Fresh air can enter the helmet without the need to make holes in an area statistically very subject to impacts.

In some specific models, the ventilation is also extended to the temple area.

REAR VENTILATION.

Rear exhaust / spoiler.

The one-piece rear exhaust / spoiler, operated by a 3-way switch, is inspired by the DF-X2 of the RX-7V Racing, but redesigned for touring use.

It sits a little further forward on the shell and is fed through 3 ports in the shell.

As part of the complete Quantic ventilation system, it efficiently extracts air but also smooths the airflow over (and from the side) of the helmet, which improves stability and reduces buffeting, especially when overtaking at high highway speeds.

Side air outlets.

They generate low pressure behind the rear ventilation opening to improve the extraction of hot air.

Integrated into the shell so that the aerodynamics are better, they reduce wind noise and prevent shaking that occurs at high speed.

Inside, a small foam barrier facilitates the absorption and reduction of excess noise without diminishing ventilation performance.

VISOR.

VAS max vision screen with anti-fog option.

The VAS MAX Vision screen is the standard for offering better visibility in all seasons and for all types of riding.

Screen locking system.

Inherited directly from our F1 helmet, the screen opening-closing system works on three axes and in the locked position, closes the screen like never before.

Lifting the system with a simple gesture (even with gloves) it is possible to activate the de-mist function or completely open the screen.

Anti-fog insert lens.

Effectively prevents the visor from fogging or misting, even in extreme humidity conditions.

It can be easily cleaned and changed.

INTERIOR.

Brushed nylon lining material.

Using the interiors of Profile-V and RX-7V as reference points, the Quantic interior was designed from scratch for maximum comfort, airflow (there are two holes in the forehead area) and light weight.

The interior and cheek pads are easily removed for cleaning or adjustment.

Replaceable Cheek pads / Ear cups.

The cheek pads/ear cups can be easily removed.

All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with warm water and a mild detergent.

After cleaning, the helmet should be rinsed well and never put to dry exposed to direct sunlight or near a heat source. We have interior parts of different thicknesses and sizes to accommodate each rider.

Replaceable interior.

The entire interior can be easily disassembled.

All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with lukewarm water and a mild detergent.

Speaker pockets.

Integrated communication systems are very popular, but often the problem is the limited space for a speaker or simply that there isn´t any, causing uncomfortable pressure points.

It has special pockets that leave space for the installation of speakers without affecting comfort or fit.

FCS (Facial Contour System).

The FCS system, designed to offer an even tighter fit and improve comfort in the lower part of the chin, works through a support consisting of a foam spring in the cheek pad that compresses and rebounds, providing the necessary support without excessive pressure.

5mm Peel Away temple padding.

Arai´s peel-away temple and crown pads offer the option of enjoying 5mm more interior width if needed.

COMFORT.

Emergency Release System (ERS).

Allows easier access in case the rider is injured.

The cheek pads can be removed by sliding and pulling the orange tabs integrated into them.

This facilitates the removal of the helmet by rescuers and medical personnel.

And minimizes the risk of additional injuries.

Breath guard.

It works in conjunction with the Dual-Pivot® chin vent to better conduct fresh air to the inner surface of the screen, while directing warm exhaled air downwards to extract it from the inner surface of the helmet.

Chin curtain (fixed). The lower part of the helmet has a fabric attached to cover the chin area, which also accentuates the oval shape.

This fabric has a dual function: it blocks the entry of air from below coming from turbulence and increases the negative pressure to improve the air outlet function of the FFS system, extracting more air from the mouth area.

The improved airflow further reduces noise.

5 mm wider base.

The exclusive shell is 5 mm wider around the base, making it easier to put the helmet ON and OFF (for newcomers to Arai, the initial ´adjustment´ when putting on or taking off the helmet).

Space for a communication system.

The Quantic design allows for easy installation and connection of a communication system on the outside of the shell, without affecting the protection offered by the EPS inner liner at all.

Integrated wire pocket.

Designed to function clearly without affecting comfort or protection to store excess cable length in the headrest.

ARAI FEATURES.

Deflect.

To minimize the impact energy that enters the helmet, it is essential that a helmet can slide on a surface.

Arai believes that a durable, rounded, and smooth shell helps increase the helmet´s ability to protect the motorcyclist during an impact.

Shells with sharp edges or air intakes that do not break away can reduce the helmet´s ability to slide, transmit energy to the helmet, or even dangerously increase rotational energy.

Inspected five times.

Each Arai helmet goes through five independent quality control departments: inspections after the shell is made, after painting and graphic finishing, after assembly, and two more during the process.

Washable interior.

The premium interior of any Arai helmet can be easily washed without removing it, with warm water and mild soap.

Handmade.

Our experts can take up to five years to create an Arai shell.

Each shell can include up to 27 stages, and the creation of an Arai helmet requires around 18 hours.

Thanks to the perfection in the balance and weight distribution of the helmet, wearing an Arai is barely noticeable.

Subjected to penetration tests.

All Arai helmets undergo penetration tests, even though European standards do not require it.

The Arai penetration test is performed with a 3 kg test cone that impacts the helmet from a height of 3 m.

Double D-ring closure device.

The flat, D-shaped rings fit smoothly against the chin.

No moving parts or corrosion problems, simply pull the tab to loosen the fastening.

Smooth shape, better protection.

The smoother outer shell of Arai helmets is designed to glide without offering unnecessary resistance.

It is not desirable to decelerate the helmet more than necessary.

This is why the vents and ducts are designed to detach upon impact.

Hard outer shell, soft inner lining.

Arai uses a very hard outer shell to distribute the forces of impact and a soft inner lining to absorb the remaining energy.

The multi-density EPS inner liner is manufactured using a unique technology that combines three to five densities in various areas as a single component.

Anatomical shape.

The anatomical shape of the Arai outer shell offers a more natural appearance, provides greater firmness, and better adapts to the natural shape of the head to increase comfort and fit and to minimize air turbulence.

5-year limited warranty.

All Arai helmets are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship, valid exclusively for the first properly accredited user and for 5 years from the date of first use, but never after 7 years from the date of manufacture.

Different outer shells.

Unlike many other manufacturers, Arai offers an outer shell size for every two helmet sizes in most models. Together with the outer shells of different shapes for different models, it is practically impossible not to find what you are looking for.

Arai internal test.

This Arai helmet has been designed to meet the demanding requirements of ARAI´s internal criteria, in addition to mandatory homologation standards, such as ECE 22-05.
