FORMA Akira 6 Back Protector

Uncompromising Safety Meets Unmatched Versatility

Elevate your on-road confidence with the FORMA Akira 6, a pinnacle of innovation in the world of motorcycle body protection. Engineered for the discerning rider who demands the highest standards of safety without sacrificing comfort or convenience, the Akira 6 stands as a testament to advanced protective design. Whether you´re navigating city streets or carving through winding country roads, this back protector offers superior impact absorption and an adaptable design to suit every ride.

Revolutionary Versatility: The SMART System

At the heart of the Akira 6 is the unique and patented SMART System, a rapid clip-and-unclip mechanism that redefines rider convenience. With a simple, intuitive gesture, you can instantly transform the full back protector into a compact and effective lumbar belt. This groundbreaking feature is not just about adaptability; it´s about practicality. Easily detach the upper portion for storage in a tight motorcycle trunk or top case, or switch to the lumbar-only configuration for shorter trips or different riding styles. The power to choose is now effortlessly in your hands.

Dual-Certified, Level 2 Protection

Safety is non-negotiable. The FORMA Akira 6 is double CE approved to the rigorous EN 1621-2:2014 Level 2 standard, providing you with certified peace of mind. This dual approval, powered by high-performance SAS-TEC padding, covers both of the protector´s configurations:
1. FB (Full Back protector) Approval: Guarantees top-tier impact protection when used as a complete, full-length back protector.
2. LB (Lower Back protector) Approval: Certifies the effectiveness of the protection when used exclusively as a lumbar belt, a feature rarely seen in the market.

Advanced Engineering for Superior Performance

The Akira 6 is built using the exclusive AKIRA construction technology, a method focused on creating a lightweight yet incredibly robust protective shell. This is further enhanced by the C.L.M. (Controlled Lateral Movement) system, which provides structural rigidity to manage lateral forces while allowing for natural rider movement and flexibility.

Comfort during long rides is paramount. The protector features a fully ventilated Velcro closure system with double adjustable elastic bands, allowing you to dial in a secure and personalized fit around your waist. This system prevents the protector from shifting while promoting airflow to keep you cool. Customized elastic and adjustable shoulder straps ensure the protector stays perfectly positioned, integrating seamlessly with your riding gear. For enhanced safety in low-light conditions, a custom reflective insert is strategically placed on the back, increasing your visibility to other road users. Despite its formidable protective capabilities, the entire unit is constructed with ultra-lightweight materials to minimize fatigue and maximize rider comfort.
