The interior padding of the LS2 FF399 helmet consists of only two pieces, an upper one that covers all the polyethylene protection (white cork) that covers the shell, and another that protects the sides of the face and surrounds the neck at the bottom to provide a better grip on the helmet. However, for greater comfort, it would be advisable to also replace the linings of the helmet fastening straps. They are the two small pieces that come into contact with the lower part of the chin and that, in general, deteriorate a lot. I changed those three elements and, after 4 years, the helmet recovered the touch and support of the first day.
Compatibility with larger helmet

Hello, I was wondering if the product in question (LS2 FF399 Liner) in size L is compatible with a helmet in size XL. I was wondering if by purchasing a smaller lining I could find more comfort than a slightly larger helmet, which was given to me by a relative. Thanks good morning

The smaller size will not fit the hull properly. Buy the correct size liner or buy a smaller helmet.

Indeed, it is 100% compatible with the LS2 FF399. You just have to make sure that you choose the correct size according to your helmet and it will fit correctly on the helmet and on the head. It would be advisable to replace the set of linings of the fastening straps at the same time. For a few more euros you will have all the material that comes into contact with the skin totally clean and new.
