Vertex Piston 24520B piston kit

Vertex Piston Kit 24520B | Engine Top End Performance

Restore the heart of your engine with the Vertex Piston Kit 24520B, the premier choice for top-end engine rebuilding in the Engine and Top end categories. Specifically engineered for the demanding environment of modern two-stroke engines, this kit is the key to unlocking renewed power, reliability, and crisp throttle response for your motorcycle. Trusted by OEMs, top-level race teams, and discerning riders worldwide, Vertex brings Italian-made precision and unparalleled quality directly to your workshop.

As a Cast Replica piston kit, the 24520B is meticulously crafted to match the original OE form, ensuring a perfect fit and restoring your engine´s performance to factory standards, but with the benefit of superior modern materials and manufacturing processes. This commitment to OE-level design makes it an ideal OEM replacement, simplifying installation and guaranteeing compatibility.

The core of this piston´s superior performance lies in its construction. It is made from a gravity-cast aluminum alloy that is not forged, enriched with a high 18% silicone content. This advanced material composition results in an extremely light yet exceptionally strong piston. The high silicone content also helps to control thermal expansion, ensuring a more stable and consistent piston-to-cylinder clearance across a wide range of operating temperatures, which is critical for both performance and longevity.

To ensure maximum strength and resilience under the extreme pressures and temperatures of a high-performance engine, every piston undergoes a specialized T-5 hardening and tempering heat treatment cycle. This process significantly enhances the piston´s structural integrity, providing an exceptional level of durability and resistance to wear and tear, guaranteeing a long service life even in the most demanding racing conditions.

Experience a smoother, faster break-in period and superior longevity thanks to the high-tech Molybdenum Disulphite coating applied to all piston skirts. This advanced, permanent coating is engineered to reduce friction, minimize wear during the critical initial run-in phase, and contribute to an overall increased piston life by providing a layer of protection between the piston and cylinder wall.

Choose the Vertex 24520B for a top-end rebuild that prioritizes quality, durability, and performance.
