Vertex Piston Ø 48.50 B Ref:VTK23637B-1 piston kit

VERTEX PISTON Ø 48.50 B Kit VTK23637B-1 | Engine Top End Rebuild

Restore the heart of your machine and experience peak performance with the VERTEX PISTON Ø 48.50 B Kit (Ref: VTK23637B-1). As a leading name in championship-winning engine components, Vertex delivers unparalleled quality and reliability, making this piston kit the ultimate choice for your Kawasaki KX 85´s top-end rebuild. Designed for riders who demand precision, durability, and a return to factory-spec power, this kit ensures your engine runs stronger for longer.

This Top End Piston Kit is engineered as a Cast Replica, meticulously crafted to match the original OE form for a seamless fit and flawless operation. Vertex utilizes a gravity-cast aluminum alloy with a specific 18% silicone content. This advanced composition creates a piston that is not only extremely light for improved throttle response and acceleration but also exceptionally strong and durable. The high silicone content provides superior thermal stability, controlling expansion under the high temperatures of competitive riding to ensure consistent clearance and performance.

To further enhance its robustness, every Vertex piston undergoes a specialized T-5 hardening and tempering heat-treatment cycle. This process significantly increases the piston´s structural integrity, providing outstanding resistance to the stresses and extreme heat of a high-performance two-stroke engine. This means greater reliability and a longer service life, giving you the confidence to push your bike to its limits.

One of the standout features is the application of a high-tech Molybdenum Disulphite (MoS2) coating on all piston skirts. This advanced coating acts as a dry lubricant, drastically reducing friction between the piston and cylinder wall. The immediate benefit is a significantly faster and smoother engine break-in period. Over the long term, this coating minimizes wear, especially during cold starts, thereby increasing the overall lifespan of the piston and protecting your engine investment.

This comprehensive kit is the ideal solution for a complete top-end overhaul. Replica pistons and all associated rings are designed as direct OEM replacements, guaranteeing compatibility and restoring your engine´s original performance characteristics without any modifications. Whether you´re a competitive racer or a dedicated weekend rider, choosing Vertex means opting for proven technology that delivers consistent power and reliability, lap after lap.
