Vertex VTK24427B Race Piston Kit | High-Performance Top End Rebuild

Category: Engine
Subcategory: Top End

Is your engine showing signs of fatigue? Clicking noises, a lack of compression, and a noticeable drop in power are often the tell-tale symptoms of a worn or damaged piston. It´s time to restore your engine´s heart and unleash its full potential. For a cost-effective replacement of your original part that doesn´t compromise on quality, Vertex offers enthusiasts high-quality, cutting-edge pistons—the definitive choice for those who truly seek uncompromising performance.

The VERTEX VTK24427B piston kit is engineered to bring your engine´s top end back to and beyond factory specifications. As a trusted OEM supplier to leading European motorcycle brands, Vertex applies the same level of precision and technological innovation to its aftermarket components. This piston is not just a replacement; it´s an upgrade designed for maximum power, durability, and reliability under the most demanding race conditions.

At the core of this piston´s superior performance is its advanced material construction. Vertex pistons are meticulously cast from a premium aluminium alloy containing an 18% silicon content. This specific formulation is critical for high-performance applications. The high percentage of silicon significantly reduces the piston´s thermal expansion, ensuring a more stable and precise fit within the cylinder bore across a wide range of operating temperatures. This stability provides exceptional wear resistance, making the pistons less susceptible to seizure and premature wear. The result is a quieter, smoother-running engine with a significantly prolonged piston life, even when pushed to its limits.

Furthermore, many Vertex Race pistons feature a unique Molybdenum Disulphide (MoS2) skirt coating. This high-tech coating reduces friction between the piston and the cylinder wall, which not only aids in a faster and more effective break-in period but also contributes to increased horsepower and improved throttle response. By minimizing frictional losses, the engine can operate more efficiently, translating more of its power directly to the rear wheel.

This complete piston kit is designed to provide everything you need for a professional-grade top-end rebuild, ensuring a perfect fit and restored performance. Choose the benchmark in piston technology and give your engine the high-performance heart it deserves with the Vertex VTK24427B kit.
