Vertex VTKTC24273A Forged Piston Kit - Top End Engine Rebuild

Restore your engine´s peak performance and reliability with the Vertex VTKTC24273A Piston Kit, the premier choice for a complete top-end overhaul. Designed for enthusiasts and racers who demand uncompromising quality, this kit provides a superior solution to bring your engine back to life with enhanced power and durability.

Are you hearing knocking sounds or experiencing a lack of compression? These are often signs of worn pistons. A worn or damaged piston can lead to significant power loss, poor fuel economy, and potential catastrophic engine failure. Don´t let these symptoms go unchecked.

For a cost-effective replacement of your original part, Vertex offers enthusiasts high-quality, cutting-edge pistons, the choice for those who truly seek performance. This kit is not just a replacement; it´s an upgrade. Vertex has established itself as a world leader in performance piston manufacturing, trusted by OEM brands and championship-winning race teams worldwide.

To withstand the internal pressures of a four-stroke engine, Vertex four-stroke pistons are forged from the highest quality 2618 aluminum alloy, providing superior strength and durability. Unlike cast pistons, a forged piston has a denser grain structure, making it exceptionally resistant to the intense heat and stress generated during high-RPM operation. This ensures a longer service life and provides peace of mind under demanding riding conditions.

Vertex uses unique piston profiles and compression ratios to maximize power and performance while reducing leaks and oil consumption. The precisely engineered 13.9:1 compression ratio in this specific piston is designed to optimize the combustion process, extracting more power from every stroke and improving throttle response across the entire RPM range.

To facilitate break-in and reduce wear, each Vertex piston is coated with a high-tech Molybdenum Disulfide (MOS2) on the piston skirt. This special coating minimizes friction between the piston and cylinder wall, especially during the critical initial run-in period. The result is a smoother-running engine, reduced operating temperatures, and a significantly extended lifespan for your new top end.

This VTKTC24273A kit is a comprehensive solution, engineered to ensure a perfect fit and seamless installation. By including all the necessary components for a top-end refresh, it eliminates the guesswork and hassle of sourcing individual parts.
