ATK RACE AL14 Toe Shim

Unlock a new level of skiing performance and perfect your stance with the ATK RACE AL14 Toe Shim, an essential accessory for dedicated ski mountaineers and freeriders. This meticulously engineered component is designed to refine the geometry of your ski setup, offering a more modern, neutral, and powerful feel on every turn. If you are looking to optimize your equipment and gain a competitive edge in the mountains, the AL14 Toe Shim is the ultimate upgrade for your ATK bindings.

The philosophy behind this accessory is simple yet profound. As stated by the engineers at ATK RACE: "AL14 is born from the constant desire to improve the skiing performance of our bindings. Once installed under the base of the toe piece, with its 4mm thickness, will make the trim more flat guaranteeing a unique skiing feeling." This shim directly addresses the ramp angle of your bindings, a critical factor in how your skis interact with the snow and how your body is positioned for balance and power.

Key Benefits for the Discerning Skier:

Achieve a Flatter, More Neutral Stance: By raising the toe piece by a precise 4mm, the AL14 Toe Shim effectively reduces the boot´s ramp angle. This flatter stance promotes a more centered and athletic body position, which is highly advantageous with modern rockered skis. It allows for more intuitive turn initiation, reduces quad fatigue on long descents, and provides a balanced platform for navigating challenging terrain and variable snow conditions with confidence.

Enhanced Power Transmission and Control: A more neutral stance allows for superior power transmission from your boot directly to the ski´s edges. You´ll experience quicker, more responsive edge-to-edge transitions and enhanced control throughout the arc of your turn. This small adjustment can make a significant difference in your ability to carve cleanly on hardpack and maintain stability at high speeds.

A Unique and Modern Skiing Feel: Experience the "unique skiing feeling" that ATK RACE promises. The flatter trim provided by the AL14 shim delivers a more agile, surfy, and playful feel, allowing you to manipulate the ski with greater ease. It’s an ideal modification for skiers who prefer a more progressive style and want to unlock the full potential of their ski´s design, from deep powder slashes to technical couloir descents.

Seamless Integration and Durability: Designed as an official accessory, the AL14 Toe Shim integrates flawlessly with compatible ATK RACE bindings. Its installation is a straightforward process for anyone familiar with mounting bindings. Crafted from a high-performance technical polymer, it is built to withstand the harshest alpine environments, including extreme temperatures and high forces, all while adhering to ATK’s signature lightweight philosophy. This shim adds incredible performance benefits without a noticeable weight penalty, making it perfect for even the most demanding ski touring objectives.

Elevate your skiing by fine-tuning the very foundation of your setup. The ATK RACE AL14 Toe Shim is more than just a spare part; it is a precision tool for optimizing your connection to the snow and discovering a new standard of performance.
