Bca Dozer 1T shovel

The BCA Dozer 1T Avalanche Shovel is your essential partner for backcountry safety. Building on the legacy of a top-selling model, this updated shovel offers exceptional reliability for rescues and snow study. Its lightweight, packable design belies its robust strength, with a telescoping shaft and ergonomic T-grip for powerful, efficient snow moving. The blade’s flat stomp edge cuts through dense snow, while its flat back creates clean snow pits for analysis. Rapid deployment and a compact, pack-friendly size ensure you´re always prepared.

Engineered for those who venture beyond the groomed trails, the Dozer 1T shovel delivers unwavering performance when every second is critical. This shovel is a foundational component of any avalanche safety kit, providing the confidence needed to travel in winter terrain. Its design prioritizes both speed in emergency situations and utility for snow science. The rapid, snag-free assembly allows for a seamless transition from packed-away to fully deployed, saving precious time during a rescue. The shaft and blade connection is secure and robust, eliminating any flex or wobble, so every ounce of effort is transferred directly into moving snow. Its superior strength-to-weight ratio means it won´t weigh you down on the ascent but will be more than ready for the toughest digging tasks.

Blades

The blade of the Dozer 1T is purpose-built for efficiency and versatility. It features a unique flat stomp edge on the top, which allows you to apply body weight and effectively penetrate or chop through hard, consolidated avalanche debris and icy layers that would defeat lesser shovels. This aggressive front end is complemented by a smooth, flat back surface. This design is not an accident; it is specifically crafted to help you create clean, smooth walls when digging a snow pit, ensuring accurate and easy analysis of the snowpack layers. The blade’s strategic dimensions provide a perfect balance between moving a high volume of snow with each scoop and being narrow enough for precise, strategic digging around a buried victim.
