Blue Ice Quick Ski Carry strap

BLUE ICE Quick Ski Carry Strap Kit | Fast & Ultralight Ski Mounting System

Inspired by skimo racing systems, the kit enables you to load your skis on the backpack without removing the bag from your shoulders. Experience a revolution in your mountain transitions with the BLUE ICE Quick Ski Carry strap. Designed for ski tourers, mountaineers, and racers who demand speed and efficiency, this system eliminates the cumbersome process of stopping and removing your pack to attach your skis. This essential accessory allows for rapid, on-the-fly diagonal ski carrying, transforming your efficiency during critical moments on the mountain.

Unmatched Speed and Efficiency

Gain precious minutes during transitions from skinning to booting. Whether you´re in a competitive skimo race or simply trying to move quickly through mixed terrain, this rapid diagonal carry system lets you secure your skis in seconds. By keeping your backpack on, you maintain your momentum, conserve energy, and stay in the flow of your ascent. This is the ultimate advantage for anyone looking to move fast and light in the alpine environment.

Enhanced Safety in Exposed Terrain

In challenging terrain or on a narrow, exposed ridge, stopping to remove your pack and manage your gear can be a significant liability. The ability to attach and detach skis while wearing your pack and staying on your feet significantly enhances your safety. It allows you to remain focused, balanced, and secure when it matters most, minimizing your exposure to risk in no-fall zones.

Main Features

This innovative system consists of two primary straps, each engineered for simplicity and reliability. The lower strap features a durable metal hook and a large, glove-friendly pull-tab for easy handling. This component securely attaches to your pack´s hip belt or a dedicated gear loop, creating a stable anchor point for the tails of your skis.

The upper strap includes an adjustable plastic hook designed to connect securely to your backpack´s shoulder strap. This two-part design creates a stable and secure diagonal carry position for your skis, preventing excessive movement as you climb. The intuitive hooking mechanism ensures your skis are locked in place during ascents, while the quick-release pull-tab allows for effortless deployment when you´re ready to ski down. While optimized for BLUE ICE backpacks like the Kume and Yagi series, these versatile straps can be adapted to many other ski touring packs that feature a shoulder strap loop and a hip belt gear loop or haul loop.

Featherlight Performance

Engineered for the minimalist, this ski carry kit is the epitome of ultralight performance. It provides a massive functional advantage with a negligible weight penalty, ensuring it´s the perfect addition for fast-and-light missions where every gram counts. You´re carrying pure performance, not unnecessary weight.
